HEAR ABOVE THE NOISE

Psalms 62:11

God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.


We live in a world that is full of noise. A lot of things come in from every corner. We cannot control the environment but we can control what we are receptive to.


If you are to live in faith you should hear the voice of the Lord above all the noise.


Jesus said His own will hear His voice and they would follow Him, they would not follow another.


John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:


So many things seek our attention.


* Some are very important
* Some are not that important
* Some are a mere distraction


We must decide which one to pay attention to, not everything is for us to receive. Selah!


As we go about our duties and roles,  it is important to listen to the Father and He speaks to us through His Holy Spirit.


No wonder the character of the Holy Spirit is "patience".


We must learn to patiently listen, because He would surely speak.


The love of God could seek your attention when you get so carried away or distracted, when you pay no attention or bother to listen to what He says.


Oh what pain, if we need crises to make God get our attention: It is never sweet.


Some stay deaf to God till it is too late, and they have to leave the scene.


Luke 12:20
"But God said to him, 'You fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?'


He was too busy acquiring wealth, he must have listened to the analysis, the forecasters, he may have had so many advisers, been competitive with others, even have spiritual contractors.


God could have been speaking but he wouldn't have heard, so much noise had taken over.


Funny enough when he had finally calmed down, he heard the voice but it was too late.


THIS IS NOT FOR US!


We will hear His voice even in the midst of all the noise around us.


We will do His will.


And ofcourse He will direct us to prosper and succeed.


Yes we will.


Have you read the word, have you worshipped, and have you prayed today? These are the evidences that you still hear Him. Get on with it blessed one, we must always stay connected.


The Lord has helped us.


PRAYER
Loving Father, help me to always be in tune with You, no matter the interferences or distractions, may my heart and Spirit be always attentive to You. Lead me Lord for You are concerned about every area of my life. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

WHERE ARE THE GODLY WOMEN?

Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; Where are our elderly women? The Anglican Communion has the group, the Christian Mothers and further still the Mothers Union. This group may be called various names in different denominations such as "Good women" and "Awesome Treasures".
