WATCH and PRAY

Colossians 4:2

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;

One of the signs of not being in the spirit is when our prayers begin to cease.

It is evidence of not having the continual consciousness of God.

When the bible mentions prayer it always asks us to do something alongside:

Matthew 26:41
"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

Ephesians 6:18
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--

Colossians 4:2
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;

1Peter 4:7
But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

The bible said we should be watchful!

A prayerful christian is also a watcher. We must watch to see what God is showing us, to know what time and season it is and to know when temptation arises.

We have people who claim to pray but they are not watchful: They are ASLEEP!

When God does speak, they do not hear.

When God shows them a sign, they miss it.

When temptation comes they fall right into it.

Praying in public cannot be replaced with private intercession and prayers. Whether we pray in groups or as individuals, we ought to watch that we do not miss that which is revealed to us.

God is alive and His angels are still on assignment to us. May we always be watchful that we may not miss that which is meant for us.

Have you talked with God today?

PRAYER
Loving Father, help me by Your Spirit to pray ceaselessly. Help me as You instructed, to watch that I may hear what You say, obey and also have the advantage of knowing before hand, using this to excel in all good things. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
