THINK OF OTHERS

1Peter 3:8

Finally, [be ye] all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, [be] pitiful, [be] courteous:

We are to take others to heart too. It doesn't have to be about us all the time.

It is difficult to live the way God wants us to live if we carry the mentality of always being the beneficiary.

Do we:

* always want to win the argument?

* always want to be the one to receive but never give?

* always want the other person/people to sacrifice, while we put in nothing?

* only think of ourselves and never the other person?

* pray for ourselves alone, interceding for no one else?

* always see the other as wrong and we always right?

The list could go on and on.

When we want all things to favour us at all times, then, where is sacrifice?

Where is the proof of our love for others, where is God's nature in us?

Ephesians 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

1John 4:11
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
(talking about relationships among believers - the brethren)

So we could experience some discomfort that a brethren could have a little comfort.

We are of God and we have the Spirit. Let us not get carried away. We are of love.

Ephesians 5: 21 continued in the later verses to talk of love expressed by the husband and wife in comparison with Christ and His church. Hmmm, if love doesn't find it's place in our homes where else do we want to show it.

Beginning from the brethren, we must live that life of love, that is the nature of our Father.

May we make the right sacrifices.

No matter whether we think it favours us now or not, let us remember:

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Express that love to others.

God bless you today.

PRAYER
Loving Father, help me to live the life of love according to Your nature. It is not all about me but about You Lord, and also about others. Help me Good Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
