REMEMBER THE VICTORIES
Psalms 77:11
I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
One of the best ways to respond to a challenge or difficulty is to remember the victories of the past.
We tend to forget that we have had victory in previous battles. No, we should remember the victory and also He who did it previously for us, for He would yet do it again.
It may be that we are exhausted or we feel that we ought to have a break from the spiritual living or relax on the trusting. Elijah felt the same way: a man who by his auction was able to get fire from heaven to soak up his over drenched sacrifice and defeat all the priests of baal, he was the one who also stopped rain for three years and called it again, yet he had to run into hiding because of an evil woman.
No wonder it was clear that it was time for him to hand over.
We should learn from this.
Psalms 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
We cannot afford to forget the victories we have had. David when confronted with Goliath, that great Philistine giant, remembered that God had already given him victory over the lion and the bear. He understood that this would be another testimony.
We should go in the same might. Testifying of His goodness and the victories He has already given us.
Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death
Our testimony is Christ Jesus for in Him we have all the victory.
Victory is ours, nothing is too strong, nothing too great "victoria acerta"
As we go on this year, always remember all the great things God has done for you. Never let any situation get the better of you. Yes, challenges will arise, be strong, you will win.
Psalms 103:2-5
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Give Him praise, worship Him. Victory is ours.
PRAYER
Loving Father, thank You for the victories past, present and those to be revealed. I am secure, I am a conqueror, I am a winner. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
