KEEP REJOICING

Matthew 21:22

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.


After Jesus made this statement, He went on to say that if we had faith, and doubt not, we would move mountains.


Never underestimate the power and essence of prayers in the life of the believer. It is our life force.


When we pray a lot of activities take place, we need to remember that we pray to change things. Just like we see with Jabez' prayer. 


Listen!


Do we also understand that when we change a part, the other part is automatically affected.


Take the case of the sons of Zebedee:


Matthew 20:20 & 21

Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping [him], and desiring a certain thing of him.

And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.


Well we may all attack her as selfish, in fact, the other disciples were not happy with them.


It is an illustration of requests that affect other things or other people.


You think only of your requests and how it affects you but the Heavenly Father considers all factors and many of them we are not able to fathom as humans.


As we begin this year, do you have pending answers? The Lord may have already answered, though it may not have been exactly the way you expected it.


However, remember:


Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.


So does any delay or expectation want to take away your joy, and make you not able to join in thanksgiving? Do not give it room, because the Lord heard you, the delay would be for your good.


God would work it out. He keeps all things balanced, the way He keeps the universe balanced.


Remember that we always know in part but our Heavenly Father is all knowing, and we know that He has our best interest at heart.


Therefore:


Rejoice brethren.


It will work out for our Good.


Glory to God.


PRAYER 

Loving Father, I rejoice today because I know that all that concerns me is settled in You. Everything falls in place and it favours me. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore. All is well with me and mine. Halleluyah.


He calls us blessed.

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us?
