TIME IS LIMITED

Revelation 1:3

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.


Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.


A song has the lyrics which says;

"forever young, I wanna be forever young, do you want to live forever? I want to be forever young"


We definitely will live forever, but not in this flesh, we don't need anyone to tell us that our body dies everyday, ten years back our skin was fresher, we were more agile and flexible but as one gets into the 60s the strength isn't like that of the 20s or even 30s.


I remember when I was very young, one of my senior friends said to me "I wish I knew the Lord when I was as young as you are". He regretted all the mistakes and all the time he had spent doing the wrong things.


Time thus moves faster than we think.


Can we remember what we said we would do when we:

* passed that exam
* finished school
* got that degree
 * got that job
* got married
* started our own business
* owned our own house
* had our children
* had our promotion
* got that position
* retired, etc


All of a sudden we get there and the time keeps ticking away.


How many of our goals and visions have we achieved?


Listen, we will live forever after this life either in JOY or REGRET.


It is up to us to determine what it would be!


2Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.


Brethren there is no time for:

* keeping malice
* staying in anger
* staying in depression
* sin
* idling away
* staying unhappy
* procrastinating
* selfishness
* sentiments
* tribalism
* racism
* failing to try again
* giving up
* skipping time with God
* being unhealthy
* ignoring our responsibilities
* staying unproductive
* not witnessing to the lost


We must reach out and do what we ought to do now.


Not in a hurry but consistently!


We would live long and prosper here on earth, yes but really that 120years (if you desire that) may not be as long as we see it, the strength and zeal would definitely diminish.


Awake!, there is still a lot we can do, the Holy Spirit is here to help us.


May we finish here and have no regrets.


O help us Good Lord.


PRAYER
Loving Father, thank You for long life. Help me use the time You have given me here to the full benefits. I will finish well, for You will tell me weldone and bring me into Your rest. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us? MY YEAR OF FULFILMENT

Psalms 57:2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. We just finished the book of 1Samuel, in this book we see the cry of Israel for a king and how God raised Saul to rule them. We also saw how Saul disobeyed God and lost kingship for himself and his generation. He did not stop there, he went on to seek for the death of David, whom he saw as the next heir of the throne. In chapter 31, the last chapter, we see how Saul and all his sons and men were killed, it was tragic, however it was as a sign of relief for David. We could go on counting all the struggles and difficulties we faced in the past year. No, we should not, we should begin to look at all the positives, remembering all the good things God has done for us. If He promised it, He will do it and that is what we hold onto as we go through this year.
