DON'T LOSE THE VISION

1Peter 5:6-9

Humble yourselves, then, under God's mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time.

Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you. Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy, the Devil, roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Be firm in your faith and resist him, because you know that other believers in all the world are going through the same kind of sufferings.

The openness of the heart of man is what the Lord needs to dwell with or use him.

Everyone has that prompting at the beginning of things to do great, to please God, to live a life of full commitment to God. Then the temptations, tests and other distractions set in, focus is lost. Other things take over.

What made people like, Joseph and Daniel stand out!

They held on to the FIRST VISION!

They had faith!

Hebrews 11:33

who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

They did not come about their success easy, NO, Joseph as a young boy was torn away from his father’s love, thrown into a pit and then sold as a slave into unknown lands far from home.

Daniel was carted away from his home as a young boy to a strange land and most likely castrated, because he was to be a eunuch.

We could talk of Noah who lived in a world full of terrible sins.

Moses was trapped in an Egyptian palace.

David was cast off as an outlaw.

One thing about these men was that they held on to the first vision. They never lost sight of what God showed them, directly or indirectly.

Today how can we relate to when we first had the vision of God?

How has our challenges, so called success or experiences made us keep going or drawn us away from the vision?

What is our current disposition?

Let us look at some testimonies.

Acts 13:22

And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

Numbers 12:3

(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

Daniel 6:4

Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

These men had great testimonies, they never lost sight of the first vision.

We cannot expect a new assignment when we ignore the previous.

It is time we awake, it is not about falling, NO, but about those who stand again and recover.

Romans 13:11

And this, knowing the season, that now it is high time for you to awake out of sleep: for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed.

We must let God lead us. O lead us Lord God.

Psalms 37:23-24
The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

WHAT IS YOUR TESTIMONY?

Remember these great men prospered here on earth and still had eternal reward. They had a win-win situation. It is always a win to walk in obedience to God.

O help us Good Lord.

PRAYER
Loving Father, bring me back to Your vision again, let me move to the next level prospering here and also in the world to come for my life Lord is in Your hands. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love

@the watcher.
