TOMORROW

Joshua 22:18

'but that you must turn away this day from following the LORD? And it shall be, if you rebel today against the LORD, that tomorrow He will be angry with the whole congregation of Israel.

We can't base important actions by the way we feel, or the situation at the moment. No, life is not about feelings, it is more than that.

It shouldn't be that:

we feel excited at the moment so we . . .

we are annoyed at the moment so we . . .

we don't feel like talking to anyone now so we . . .

we feel so hungry now so we . . .

we feel so aroused right now so we . . .

we don't feel like praying right now so we . . .

we don't feel like working right now so we . . .

we don't feel like listening to what the Spirit is saying now so we . . .

things look difficult right now so we . . .

we don't have money right now, so we . . .

things seem to be delayed today, so we . . .

No, our emotions shouldn't be what leads us, it is of the flesh. 

We need to take a deep breath!

Have we thought of tomorrow?

Wonder what Cain, Esau, Korah, Sambalat and Tobias, Samson, Judas would have to say about this!

If only they had considered what would happen in the near future.

While one complains of how things are not going well, how hard it seems, how God has not answered that prayer

. . . forgetting that . . . 

some can't see, some can't walk, some don't have hands, some can't speak or hear, some are in prison, some are still lost in sin, some have no one to talk to, or even care for.

Do we really have something to complain of?

We serve a loving God but when He speaks and we don't listen do we then blame Him for the repercussions. We can't walk with God without a measure of patience. There must be self control.

Romans 15:5

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,

2Thessalonians 3:5

 Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

Colossians 1:11

strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

Our emotion is the issue, we need to go past our emotions and walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

We need to look past the immediate satisfaction, the swift pleasure and the sudden id. We need to look past the present difficulty, the delay and see the tomorrow.

God is faithful, if only we always remember who He is, at those moments, then we would know that all is well.

The Lord will help us, strengthen us and keep us.

PRAYER 

Loving Father may I not walk in the flesh instead lead me by Thy Spirit. My emotions are not in charge, I walk in the Spirit. O help me Lord God. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.
