AFTER YOU GOT IT

Psalms 116:14

I will pay my vows to the LORD Now in the presence of all His people.


Recall, that there was the time we sought God's face for one thing or the other.


We desired so much we could even have gone to the length of making a vow or promising to do this or that when the Lord brings it to pass.


Was it when we waited on Him for:


* marriage

* work

* promotion

* health/healing

* money

* a house

* deliverance from one problem or another

* academic success

* help on behalf of family or friend

* a position of authority

* a breakthrough


The situation could have been in any measure.


Now that the Lord has done it for us, will we remember to fulfil all the promises, all that we determined in our heart to do?


Where now are all those good intentions?


God told the children of Israel:


Deuteronomy 6:12

"then beware, lest you forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.


Funny enough they did forget!


1Samuel 1:11

Then she made a vow and said, "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of your maidservant and remember me, and not forget your maidservant, but will give your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head."


Hannah did not forget!


What was it that we promised?


What were those good intentions and noble plans we had?


After the Lord has made us get what we desired have we turned our back on Him?


It is disappointing to see the generation of believers that are being raised in our days, complacent, transactional and carnal people, who only only come to God when there is a problem. When their desires have been met, what next?


Some are just morose in one congregation or the other occupying seats but have no impact or relevance in their community or nation. They are only there waiting for one promise or breakthrough. Hmm.


It is time to fulfil our promises. It is time to live the true believers lifestyle. We need to be serious with God.


They Lord will find us faithful.


Listen, the light you shine is out there not in that building or gathering.


Where are the faithful ones?


We will not be found wanting.


Help us Good Lord.


PRAYER

Loving Father, help us to be conscious of You everyday, in every place and in all we do. We will not err but we will please You, help us Good Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
