ABOVE THE STORM

2 Timothy 2:1

You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.


As long as we live here on earth there will be times when the storm would rage. When things may not look as we want it to. When our faith is challenged.


Truly it is an illusion to the believer, yes because just as the disciples were afraid with Jesus in the boat the same way we may become afraid thinking we are alone.


Let us be reminded that nothing stands to be accepted as true or as what it is, till it has passed its own test.


1 Peter 1:7

that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,


Revelation 2:2

"I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;


Every promotion comes after the test has been passed. Yes it might look difficult yet when it is over you get promoted.


1 Peter 5:10

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.


Yes after a little while, the storm will be over and you will be lifted!


So,


We will not get tired.


We will not give up.


We will not give in.


We have victory.


The promotion is ours.


We are above the storm!


That is what He does for us. Glory to His Holy name forevermore.


PRAYER

Loving Father You have made me more than a conqueror. No storm is strong enough, it will not shake me for I stand on the Solid Rock. I win. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us? MY YEAR OF FULFILMENT

Psalms 57:2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. We just finished the book of 1Samuel, in this book we see the cry of Israel for a king and how God raised Saul to rule them. We also saw how Saul disobeyed God and lost kingship for himself and his generation. He did not stop there, he went on to seek for the death of David, whom he saw as the next heir of the throne. In chapter 31, the last chapter, we see how Saul and all his sons and men were killed, it was tragic, however it was as a sign of relief for David. We could go on counting all the struggles and difficulties we faced in the past year. No, we should not, we should begin to look at all the positives, remembering all the good things God has done for us. If He promised it, He will do it and that is what we hold onto as we go through this year.
