STAY "WOKE (a reminder)

Mark 14:38

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak.


Staying awake is one very important role of the soldier. It is something that the body must be trained to do.


Same thing for the believer, the watch is so important for us to stay victorious. Then comes the phrase "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak!".


However especially in this troubled days, believers must stay awake.


Matthew 26:40

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?


The power and forces of darkness are at work and they ought not to meet us unprepared.


Glory to God, we do not fight with weapons that are carnal, but with God's power that can pull down every strong hold.


2 Corinthians 10:3-4(NLT)

We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do.

We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.


SO:


Parents: Stay awake for your children

Children: Stay awake for your parents

Spouse: Stay awake for your partner

Leaders: Stay awake for your followers

Followers: Stay awake for your leaders

ALL: Stay awake for your family, your nation, the church, your business and for those who are yet to believe, that they may be saved.


Jesus encouraged His disciples to stay awake for Him as His trouble times approached. However they could not see it, and secondly they had not the Spirit, so the flesh took over.


How do we stay awake, PRAYERS, STUDY OF THE WORD, WORSHIP & THANKSGIVING, AND LISTENING IN THE SPIRIT.


1 Corinthians 16:13

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.


Ephesians 6:18

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;


Colossians 4:2

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;


That even when you are asleep in the physical body, your spirit yet remains alive in the power of the Holy Spirit.


YOU ARE NEVER CAUGHT OFF BALANCE!


Yes we will stay "WOKE", our victory is sure.


PRAYER

Loving Father keep me awake in the Spirit, strengthened and empowered by You to defeat any vices of the enemy. I will stand strong for You help me Lord. I will not fail. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
