BE GRATEFUL

Psalms 108:3

I will thank you, Lord, among all the people.

I will sing your praises among the nations.

Being grateful is a must attitude for every believer. It is part of our nature.

To be acceptable, to have a sweet fragrance towards God and man, is to have a heart of gratitude. There is nothing disgusting and repulsive like an ungrateful heart.

Daniel 6:10

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

He prayed and GAVE THANKS TO GOD, the fact that the law of the land had forbidden it did not deter him. What was the king compared to the mighty God?

Exodus 15:11

“Who is like you among the gods, O Lord— glorious in holiness,

awesome in splendor, performing great wonders?

I see Daniel as a role model, this was a promising young boy who had been captured from his home town and country and enslaved. Most likely he was castrated. Since he was to work as an eunuch.

Yet his custom three times a day was to give God thanks.

Pride, Self consciousness, greed, ignorance and foolishness are the reasons for ungratefulness.

We show the same to our fellow humans, there is actually nothing too small to give thanks for, ask yourself. What does the giver really owe me? What if they refused to do it? We ought to be grateful. Have you been blessed by someone this year, show appreciation, a word, a gift, a blessing to another, just be appreciative. It is refreshing, it is a blessing.

The bible said 10 lepers were healed by Jesus but only one, who was a foreigner thought it necessary to return to say thank you.

Luke 17:12 - 13

Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.

And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"

Luke 17:18

So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

The bible says that once you have clothing and food be content.

1Timothy 6:8

And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

Don't make the greed and desire for more things take away the gratitude for the ones you have already received.

As we close the year, lets look back to all those who have been nice and good to us, a little show of appreciation will mean a lot.

They didn't owe you anything, they could possibly not have been there for you at that time or refused to show that love. They would have been quiet, or may have ignored God's voice or prompting. That they did it, show appreciation. It is a great attribute. No matter how high or low they are placed, whether you understand them or not, just show your appreciation.

Then to God who has made you go through the days of the year let your early morning chant like Daniel be

"Thank you Lord"

For what God does for us cannot be quantified. He stays faithful even when we are not. Fighting our battle even when we do not know that there is even a battle. HE IS A GOOD GOD.

Thank you my friends. For reading and letting this write-ups bless you.

Do not get tired of reading daily God's revealed word. Read and also spread to others. You never know who needs the revealed word time and again. These are seeds that will go in and die, then resurrect with life to be great fruits in the life of the receiver.

Let Your actions also show gratefulness.

PRAYER

Loving Father for all You have done for me and all You are to me I say thank You. I have not been faithful but You are always faithful. This is love unexplainable. I give You praise today Lord. I worship You Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
