LET THE LORD DIRECT

Numbers 9:2,4,8

“Tell the Israelites to celebrate the Passover at the prescribed time,

So Moses told the people to celebrate the Passover

Moses answered, “Wait here until I have received instructions for you from the Lord.”

In our Christian walk we get to points and situations that may not seem very clear to us. We may have looked at scriptures and sought advice from elders etc, yet there is no clear instructions on what to do. We need to wait on the Lord.

This is why it is easier to live a life that is in continual fellowship with the Lord, so that it doesn't look strange to hear from Him or receive His instructions.

Many a times we are so filled up with ideas and opinions from the world, media and people that we do not place much importance on God's direct guidance to us.

Proverbs 3:5-7

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.

Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

We mustn't get it wrong, definitely there are things that are clear in scriptures and in our conscience there is no need to beat around the bush with them, however like we see in Numbers 9:1-14, there are times we need to be absolutely sure, especially when it comes to condemnation and things concerning the law.

As believers we walk by faith in the Spirit, not by the law, we walk in the love of God and truth, which is obedience to Him.

Remember that when the enemy was tempting Christ He was quoting scriptures!

It is not childishness to seek Godly counsel when you are not sure but actually a sign of maturity.

1 Corinthians 8:2-3

Anyone who claims to know all the answers doesn’t really know very much.

But the person who loves God is the one whom God recognizes.

Look at the ones who brought the woman caught in adultery to Jesus, they thought they knew enough, "O yes, let us hear what He would say now". After the encounter none of them was still waiting around, they walked away one by one in shame.

Let the Lord direct.

If you have the slightest doubt, seek the Lord, make it clear, then you move ahead without regret.

God is love!

O help us Good Lord.

PRAYER

Holy Father help me to seek Your guidance in all things. My constant dwelling in Your presence would help me know Your will concerning all things, lead me Lord, I surrender completely to You.

He calls us blessed.
