IN ANSWERING HE MAKES IT RAIN

Numbers 11:31-32

Now the Lord sent a wind that brought quail from the sea and let them fall all around the camp. For miles in every direction there were quail flying about three feet above the ground.
So the people went out and caught quail all that day and throughout the night and all the next day, too. No one gathered less than fifty bushels! They spread the quail all around the camp to dry.

The people of Israel complained about not having meat. They vexed the Lord by saying they preferred to return to Egypt. Remember the Lord's reply:

Numbers 11:10,19-20
Moses heard all the families standing in the doorways of their tents whining, and the Lord became extremely angry. Moses was also very aggravated.
And it won’t be for just a day or two, or for five or ten or even twenty.
You will eat it for a whole month until you gag and are sick of it. For you have rejected the Lord, who is here among you, and you have whined to him, saying, “Why did we ever leave Egypt?”’”

Yes they had the meat the wanted but they paid the price of their rebellion:

Numbers 11:33
But while they were gorging themselves on the meat—while it was still in their mouths—the anger of the Lord blazed against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague.

When the scriptures sometimes in the old testament says the Lord did this or that, remember that the enemy has not been revealed, most of the things attributed to the Lord could as well have been from the enemy. Selah

The Lord answered the prayers of Moses to the children of Israel and it rained quails for them to eat.

Just as we said yesterday, there was no need for complaining or rebelling all they needed was to make their request known, the Lord who already gave them victory in Egypt would give them victory anywhere else, all they needed to do was to believe and be obedient.

Philippians 4:6
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

That is the lesson for us believers.

Remember those things you desired so much years ago, how the Lord came through for you, it even came in abundance and you were now in a situation to decide which one to take. That is how the Lord works, He makes it flow.

That job you are seeking for will come in abundance, your situation will then become: "which one do I choose?". This is a classic example of how the Lord answers prayers!

I love this extract from Kirk Franklin's song featuring Mali music:

"The God who orchestrates the future
At the same time he knows where you are
Give me that God who supplies my needs
'Cause he owns all the cattle's on the hill
And He's the God that wipes my tears
He provides enough to pay all my bills

And gimme me that God, that's the God I'm talkn' 'bout"

We have so much working for us as believers, but our mind and eyes easily gets distracted, so instead on focusing on our limitless and all powerful God, we focus on our immediate little challenges.

Ephesians 3:20
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

Let's refocus.

Our God will make it rain!

Glory to God.

PRAYER
Dear Father help me to focus on You, for Lord You make Your blessings rain on me, nothing is impossible for You, I am safe in Your care. Thank You Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
