YOU ARE DIFFERENT (a reminder)

Exodus 23:2a

Thou shalt not follow a multitude to [do] evil;

We are not expected to be loners or to detach ourselves from people. We actually need people both of the faith and out of the faith. The same way they need us to!

1 Corinthians 5:10

Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

However the bible says we should not join people to do evil.

1 Peter 4:3-4

For the time past of [our] life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]:

Yes they may give us names, mocking us because we do not join in the evil they do, brethren do not be moved, always remember:

1 Peter 4:5

Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.

Yes all will face judgment no matter whatever religion they practice. All will still account to Christ.

They may run now, but the time will come, when there will be no place to run.

Christ has paid so much that we can not take His sacrifice for granted.

Romans 2:1a

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man,

We have no excuse to live in sin. Selah

1 Peter 4:1-2

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

That he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

So what should we be doing?

1 Peter 4:7

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

That we may not fall into temptation. As we fulfil our daily labour, and continue our journey here, we can not afford to carry the bruise from sin.

Thus we then display God's character in all we do. The universal set of it being Love:

1 Peter 4:8

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Galatians 5:22-23

Yes, we will not fret, we will not be intimidated. We will not join others to do evil. For we are different. A royal breed called to shine the light and show forth the praises of God.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.

Love
