GOD AND MAN

Genesis 32:28

“Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

We have two proofs to go through to establish our place in life. The first is with God then the other is with our fellow humans.

We must proof who we are in our relationship with God, then also proof who we are with our relationship with others.

For we can claim to love God, but it is not confirmed till we show it by loving our neighbour.

1 John 4:20

If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?

Our actions towards others is a determinant of our faith in God.

Abraham was known as a man of faith, we see the evidence of his faithfulness to God with the love he showed others, we see the same with Isaac then with Jacob and the list goes on.

Cain is an example of one who brought a gift to God but had bitterness in his heart. You cannot claim to love God and have bitterness towards your fellow human whom God created like you.

As we go on in this life, we should remember that our allegiance with God through Christ must reflect in our dealings with one another.

People must give God glory because of you and not the other way round!

Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

May our "hearts" and actions reflect our love of God.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
