WHEN THE LORD HAS DONE IT

Genesis 24:50-51,67

Then Laban and Bethuel replied, “The Lord has obviously brought you here, so there is nothing we can say.

Here is Rebekah; take her and go. Yes, let her be the wife of your master’s son, as the lord has directed.”

And Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah’s tent, and she became his wife. He loved her deeply, and she was a special comfort to him after the death of his mother.


Things always fall into place when the Lord's hand is in it. It is easiest when all parties involved have faith in the Lord. Most times it is difficult to convince one who doesn't know the Lord that this or that is God's instruction or God's plan.


Exodus 5:2

“Is that so?” retorted Pharaoh. “And who is the Lord? Why should I listen to him and let Israel go? I don’t know the Lord, and I will not let Israel go.”


In this scenario God steps in to show His power, that the one who do not believe will have no choice than to succumb to the will of the Lord. For the Heavenly Father has the final say.


What can those who oppose do? The best they can do is to delay(from our own perspective) but God's will, will surely come to pass.


Exodus 14:14

The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”


So, we save ourselves a lot of trouble by following the path of the Lord. 


However, we must remember that as humans we are in God's image, we have a will, the Lord does not take it away from us or "them"/"the other person". We must walk wisely.


Living in this world as believers I pray that God's wisdom will lead us to deal with everyone appropriately. For scripture records:

When people’s lives please the Lord, even their enemies are at peace with them.


As we enter the new year, that special influence of God's hand will lead us to excel and prosper in all good things.


So help us Good Lord.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
