THE LIAR

John 8:44

"You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Jesus was talking to the Jews who worshipped God for personal gain, those of them who were hypocrites.

Funny enough the devil or satan roams through the earth.

He comes on, and again, sending his little demons to whisper rubbish to our ears.

His tactics still remains the same just the way he toiled with Eve in the Garden of Eden.

If only we could see those ugly things wisphering those lies in our ears.

How do we overcome

Revelations 12:11
 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Not by shouting the blood but standing on what the blood has done. The word of our testimony Jesus the Christ. We are not afraid of death we know who gives us life. God!

What was the lie . . .

Genesis 3:4-5
And the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.
 "For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

A liar! knows how to twist words.

The bible says:

Titus 1:2
in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

The devil wanted them to see the physical not the spiritual.

He still does same today!

Fixing our mind just on the physical, the aim is to kill our faith.

If you give in, you end up not believing God's promises anymore but now distracted by the enemy's lies.

Matthew 13:19
"When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

This liar comes with his lies time and again to take our mind from what God has said to other logics and believes.

But we must not give in.

2Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

So whose report will you belief?

The enemy will say

* we are sick?

 but we reply that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed

* we are poor

but we reply that we are blessed with all spiritual blessings

* we are sinners

but we reply that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness

* we can't make it

but we reply that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength

* we would pay for past sins

but we reply that there is none

for we who are in Christ Jesus

* we will miss heaven

but we reply that we are already sitted with Christ in heaven

* we have nothing to offer

we reply that we are a chosen people, a royal nation called out of darkness into marvelous light to show forth the praises of God.
We are God's workmanship unto good works.

* we will sin

but we reply that sin has no dominion over our mortal body because of Grace

* we are not worthy

but we reply that God has given us the power to become His sons

* we should revenge, hate or payback

but we reply that we have the mind and Spirit of Christ

* that evil will happen to us

but we reply that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper, that we dwell under the secret place of the Most High

No matter the lie the enemy brings we must counter with the word of God.

That is what Jesus did!

Not only when He was tempted in the wilderness by this same enemy.

He did so throughout His time on earth.

Remember He knew when the enemy was speaking through Peter

Matthew 16:23
But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

So even people around us even in church could become the enemy's  spokesperson.

I see us going through it all, not falling prey of the enemy's lies in love, trusting God, hearing God, staying with His Word.

We shall not fail, fall or falter.

We will not give in to the enemy's lies, we are free from depression, pain, sorrow, regret, doubt, confusion and sin.

We have peace, joy, justification, and righteousness.

Glory to God in the highest.

He calls us blessed.

Love
