PRAISE HIM (a reminder)
Revelation 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Psalm 150:1
Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
What is, or where is God's sanctuary?
Another word for sanctuary is "temple" it is that separate, holy place where God comes to commune with man. He is worshipped there. Is it a building or a physical edifice? No, God Himself builds His temple. So.. .
Jesus said:
John 4:23-24
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
Where is man's spirit? In his body, thus Paul instructs:
1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
See it from NLT:
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
So if we are to give true worship, our body must be holy. True worshippers cannot live anyhow.
Then, we are instructed to praise Him in the "firmament of His power", another translation explains it as His "mighty heaven".
This is not just up or above the sky, or above the earth or in the heavens. No it is much higher, a greater dimension, where no one can approach. Where only Christ has been.
1 Timothy 6:14-16
that you obey this command without wavering. Then no one can find fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
For, At just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only Almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords.
He alone can never die, and he lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach him. No human eye has ever seen him, nor ever will. All honor and power to him forever! Amen.
This is where our highest praise is lifted to.
Nebuchadnezzar the greatest king at that time after seven years living like an animal knew he had to give the highest praise.
Daniel 4:34
And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom [is] from generation to generation:
Just as we have learnt in scriptures, acts that provoke people to give God praise falls under this category of praise. Also, the anointing provokes this kind of praise.
Act 10:38, Luke 18:43, 19:37
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw [it], gave praise unto God.
And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
Psalm 150:2
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
What does your anointing do?
So we see that all is about praising God. The summary of man's existence, all the Heavenly Father created was for His pleasure, to give Him praise.
Colossians 1:16, Revelation 4:11
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
So all things God created must give Him praise. And everything He has put breath in, must praise Him.
Psalm 150:6
Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
Yes, with all instruments of worship, with the brethren, with your family, in your closet and in your lifestyle PRAISE THE LORD.
He calls us blessed.
Love
