THINK OF OTHERS TOO
Philippians 2:4
Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
This seemingly plain statement carries a deep message in it. Selfishness which some feel is wisdom is not, for your relevance is only shown by what you can offer others.
What does God require?
From the beginning of man's presence on earth, the Lord has always been interested in the care of others, from Cain's inability to account for his brother Abel to Abraham's care even for strangers to the king's care for his people and Christ's teaching on neighbours. We are expected to care for others.
Proverbs 19:17
If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you!
Hebrews 13:16
And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.
In these times when most ministers are all about aquiring wealth, we must not be caught in that web, we must understand that the Lord is not interested in how much you have stocked but on how many you have blessed. (Wisdom is needed here)
Matthew 25:31,45-46
“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.
“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’
“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”
Know this: THERE IS NO ONE THAT HAS NOTHING TO GIVE!
It is not just about money but about love. Selah
Lord help us to be real children of you, who are not just collectors but givers. We do not think of ourselves alone, but we think of others.
So help us Good Lord.
He calls us blessed.
Love
