REASON TO GIVE THANKS

Psalms 30:12

that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.

O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!

It is easy to give thanks when everything seems alright, when it looks like all your prayers are answered and there are no pending or complex issues to solve. However, when there is trouble or a seeming difficulty, to praise doesn't easily come to mind.

However it is wisdom to praise in the storm for you are speaking to the enemy/situation letting them know how big your God is.

Psalms 35:27

But give great joy to those who came to my defense.

Let them continually say, “Great is the Lord, who delights in blessing his servant with peace!”

For Jeremiah's prophesy is as potent today as it was when he said:

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

If the Lord's plan for us is for good then the plan of the enemy DOES NOT MATTER!

So no matter what happens we must remember that all good things come from God, no evil is attributed to Him, though the people in the old testament or religious folks may not understand this (because of Lamentations 3:38) . . . but He is.

James 1:17

Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

You think there is no reason to give thanks, pause, look around you, open your eyes people are going through so many things, you are even blessed to be a helper. Think and give thanks, for the Lord has been good to you, yes, you.

So give thanks, for maturity is not about emotions but about seeing beyond the sentiment to hold on to the truth, for if you hold on to your feelings, you will not get far.

For strength is in faith and faith is in truth, for what the Lord says counters every other "say".

Lamentations 3:37

Who can command things to happen without the Lord’s permission?

So we give thanks expressing our faith in the Lord who is bigger than all things.

Jeremiah 32:27

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?

Revelation 11:17

And they said,

“We give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who always was, for now you have assumed your great power and have begun to reign.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.
