MAN'S CONTROL
Man was created from God's desire to have a replica of Himself. His glory, His dominion, His will and ability to make and take decisions.
Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Man carried God's signature in Him. He desired the way God did, he creates the way God did. He had the will, the power of choice, just as God did.
It was these characteristics that the enemy used against man to cause him to fall from glory.
Yes, man desired yet again, but now in the wrong direction. Man sought for what would perish. Energy and time wasted on what would not last.
Thus man keeps falling for these traits:
* a false fight to stay on top
* a hunger for false dominion (man was never commanded to have dominion over man . . . Genesis 1:28-30)
* a desire to acquire and to keep acquiring money
* a coveteoustness of what is for another
* narcissism
" uncultured lust
and the list goes on.
Isaiah 55:1-2
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
The Lord through Isaiah spoke of what Messiah, Jesus the Christ would bring to pass through the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
And so He did . . .
John 7:37-39
In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Thus man's desire was actually for God's Spirit, that creative power, ideas incubated, direction and love. These desires could very well be contaminated if the flesh rules. Many a person(s) carry the disciplined nature even till today. The Daniel's of our time.
For we must be reminded that everyone must account for their decisions, actions and inactions.
So when we fall for the err of doing whatever we deem desirable, we must understand that yes we can, however, we cannot determine the consequences. Selah
Thus it is better to discipline oneself in the way of the Lord, then we are victorious and avoid a lot of regrets.
I see us well defined, purposeful and fulfilled.
May our love not grow cold.
Prayer: Lord may I live the life you want me to. May I fulfil purpose. All the glory is yours.
Can you hear God's inspiration today?
Have a lovely day.
He calls us blessed.
Love
