WHAT DO YOU HAVE? (A reminder)

1Corinthians 4:7

For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you glory as if you had not received it?

What we have at the "now" may not look like a big deal to us at the moment. However we need to remember that some seek it and yet do not have it.

We cannot afford to be blinded by the desire for more so much as not to appreciate that which we have now. We  must be able to use what we have (already) been given.

Let us remember that we will give account of all that we have been given and that

Luke 12:48b
. . . For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

There is nothing wrong in desiring to be better, greater, richer or to achieve more.

The issue is when we do not appreciate what we have or where we are already so much as to fulfil the purpose for which God allowed us to get there or have it.

I see us taking stock, making full use of all the Lord has given us and where He has placed us.

We will not err.

We will have a good account.

He calls us blessed.
