NO PLAYING AROUND WITH THE ENEMY

Acts 16:17-18

She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.”

This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.

We do not have time to play around with the enemy, NO! It was in discussion with the enemy that Eve was conned to eat the forbidden fruit. Many a times we take a risk by debating with the enemy on matters which are clear in scriptures or we have received direct instructions on, it is dangerous.

This slave girl in our reading for today, followed Paul and Silas around proclaiming that they were of God, yes, however it was really becoming a nuisance, moreso, the girl needed to be liberated.

James 2:19

You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror.

We must be careful who sings our praise, listen, the enemy has nothing good to offer anyone, for in the end they still fulfil their purpose:

John 10:10

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

When you understand this and by the gift of discernment, you avoid all the attraction and showmanship of enemies and focus on your assignment. For it is the search for relevance that distracts the believer from their assignment.

IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU, IT IS ABOUT CHRIST! Glory to God.

The deliverance of the young girl brought them trouble, yes, but they did a good work, that is what matters.

In the end God yet proved Himself. We learn that the power of praise and prayers cannot be overemphasized, for chains, stocks, gates all flew open for the power of God was released. Glory to God.

There is not a situation the Lord cannot deliver us from, keep praising, keep praying, keep worshiping.

Truly He makes all things work for our good.

We are victorious.

He calls us Blessed.

Love
