PRAY

Matthew 6:7-8
“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.
Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!

Prayer is a communication with the Heavenly Father, there you reverence Him, you make your report, give accounts, make requests, speak for others, and receive instructions.

Thus, it is not a show off, it is a serious meeting, it is spiritual.

Personal prayer is not something we toil with, it is our time with God and one thing we should know is that it is not restricted, it should be ceaseless.

1 Thessalonians 5:17
Never stop praying.

For in prayer we remain in tune with the Heavenly Father and pleasing Him will not be difficult. That said, we should be reminded that there are things that hinder prayers:

* not forgiving/wrath;
* vain repetitions;
* praying against His will;
* sin;
* doubt/unbelieve;
* contradictions...

We must get rid of these things.

Does prayer need a particular posture, format or place. NO! Prayer is Spiritual, thus it is your spirit that prepares for prayer. Faith is not physical! Pray at all times, in every place and in all situations.

For it is in the place of prayer that the believer is empowered and receives direction.

Is prayer restricted to a particular time frame, length etc? No, take a cue from your mobile phone, as long as you have it switched on, you can make a call and also receive calls. It doesn't matter what time it is or where you are as long as your network is active.

1 Peter 3:12
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers.
But the lord turns his face against those who do evil.”

Jeremiah 23:23-24
Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the lord. “No, I am far away at the same time.
Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord.

What do we need for effective prayers?

* study of the word of God;
* faith;
* a clear heart/mind
* prayer itself!

We continue in prayer, we stay in tune with the Lord, He takes care of us that we have peace. Have you prayed? Pray now.

He calls us blessed.

  1. Glory be to God almighty, He knows our needs more than us and it is to Him only that we should communicate our requests. He will always grant more than our desires as he knows better. He did same for Solomon in those days
