BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HAVE THE LORD (Psalm 144)
Psalms 144:15
How blessed the people who have all this! How blessed the people who have God for God!
It is a great thing to have the Heavenly Father as our God. Yes, the Most High He is. The enemies wonder why the Heavenly Father bothers with man, it infuriates some of them for they have lost their position, for man is now the being that gives God pleasure.
Psalms 144:3-4
O Lord, what are human beings that you should notice them, mere mortals that you should think about them?
For they are like a breath of air; their days are like a passing shadow.
Thus the enemy keeps fighting for the downfall of man.
1 Peter 5:8
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
Thus the Psalmist says:
Psalms 144:1-2
Praise the lord, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle.
He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer.
He is my shield, and I take refuge in him. He makes the nations submit to me.
We as believers know that this war is NOT just physical!
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
Thus we are taught to battle:
Ephesians 6:13-18
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Glory to God for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
So He teaches our hands to war and gives our fingers to battle. Yes, by His Spirit. So we never loose the battle, for the God of war is on our side.
Thus our victory is a result of our trust in Him.
Truly blessed are those who have the Heavenly Father as their God. Halleluyah.
The Heavenly Father surrounds His own with joy and blessings.
Thus we can say again:
Psalm 144:15
Happy [is that] people, that is in such a case: [yea], happy [is that] people, whose God [is] the LORD.
Yes, He calls us blessed.
