GOD THE ALMIGHTY (Psalm 76)
Psalms 76:4
You are glorious and more majestic than the everlasting mountains.
How great is our God the Almighty. The greatness of our Heavenly Father cannot be described in mere words, for no matter what we try to compare, it cannot be enough.
Psalm 76 sings of His power, and that side of Him that no one should desire to face, the one that faces His enemies.
Psalms 76:7-8(NLT)
No wonder you are greatly feared!
Who can stand before you when your anger explodes?
From heaven you sentenced your enemies; the earth trembled and stood silent before you.
Then the oppressed are set free:
Psalms 76:9
You stand up to judge those who do evil, O God, and to rescue the oppressed of the earth.
For even the wrath of men still bring Him praise, for when they gang in wrath against God's own, He shows His might and thus brings glory to Himself:
Psalm 76:10
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
For even those who destroy, do not understand that God’s sovereignty is over all:
Isaiah 10:5-7
“What sorrow awaits Assyria, the rod of my anger. I use it as a club to express my anger.
I am sending Assyria against a godless nation, against a people with whom I am angry.
Assyria will plunder them, trampling them like dirt beneath its feet.
But the king of Assyria will not understand that he is my tool; his mind does not work that way.
His plan is simply to destroy, to cut down nation after nation.
Woe to that king or leader who dare defiles the Almighty Father!
Psalm 76:12
He shall cut off the spirit of princes: [he is] terrible to the kings of the earth.
Don't take God for granted, don't vow to Him and then do not fulfil. He acknowledges our attempt to bring offerings, who else deserves worship but Him.
Psalm 76:11
Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
He is God. Period!
So that is why we stay in His good side displayed by the revelation of His Son, the Messiah. For what is our lot in the wrath of God. We dwell in His love.
Romans 8:39
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Glory to God.
Do not fret because of evil people, worship the Heavenly Father, to whom be all glory, honour and praise for ever and ever. AMEN
He calls us blessed.
Love
