WORK HARD

Romans 12:11
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

Romans 12:11(NLT)
Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

We must serve the Lord no excuses allowed. However we must do our earthy labour. No one is also excused. Selah

There is no place in scripture were God encouraged anyone to be lazy, not in the old testament, Christ did not, even the epistles from where we have our introductory scripture discouraged laziness.

Proverbs 15:19
The way of the slothful [man is] as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous [is] made plain.

So where did the idea of young vibrant youths hanging around church premises, or laying around homes come from? Like other false teachings and presumptions, they are not from God they are strange doctrines.

As we prepare to end the year. Look to see that you have finished your tasks before you run to celebrate or relax. Can you differentiate your night from your morning.

John 9:4
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Young people, what have you learned, been trained of or invested in? When you see the elderly resting, going for vacations, know that they have worked their work.

Elders encourage the young to learn, train and invest. "Who have you mentored?"

Let us abhor and resists every form of laziness and idleness especially from our young men and women. It is not scriptural.

How many of us can work for the gospel as Apostle Paul did, yet listen to him:

1 Corinthians 4:12
And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

Ephesians 4:28
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

1Thessalonians 4:11
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Act 20:33-35
 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Get up young one, there is a lot you can accomplish before the year runs out. Follow good example.

You are called blessed.

Love
