IN CHRIST ALONE
Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
We really need to decide what way, what life and whose philosophy we would follow. If it is of the Lord, then let us study, get it right and then live it.
This, Paul was charging in his second letter to Timothy:
2Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
(HOW WILL THE HOLY SPIRIT LEAD US WHEN THERE IS NO WORD IN US FOR HIM TO WORK WITH? John 14:26)
Too many things are speaking to us today that it seems the idols are having their way. Unless we drop the idols we cannot grab the full impact of who we are:
1John 5:21
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
Who and what have we been worshipping?
Is it our daily needs just like the people of these world have? Matthew 6: 24-33
Is it money, which Jesus said we would have to choose between it and God?
Is it the pride of life, are we trying to keep a reputation? Please ask Nebuchadnezaar about that, He learnt that He was nothing, by the things he suffered.
Is it a competition to be the best? To be the one on top, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!
Colossians 2:6
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk ye in him:
DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER?
Listen!
Colossians 2:9&10
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
We are complete in Christ Jesus, let the enemies no longer lie to our heart. We are above principalities and power, they should thus stop playing with our mind, we must not keep committing Eve's error. Put the serpent in its place! Selah.
As we carry on our daily work in the circular, in our homes, in our churches, in our states, countries and all other places the Lord allows us to reach out to, may we provoke God's name to be exalted. May we be a shining light.
Daniel 6:25-27
Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he [is] the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion [shall be even] unto the end.
He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
CAN PEOPLE GLORIFY GOD BECAUSE OF US?
Yes they can and they will. Enough of the distractions.
