WE MUST WORK! (a reminder)

Psalms 90:17
And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.

After creating the heavens and the earth for six days(whether literal or otherwise) on the 7th Day God rested. After God rested on the 7th day, what did He do on the 8th day.

The answer to this question is obvious, He resumed work again.

Jesus confirmed this when He
said
...my Father works so I work . ..

John 5:17
But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."

Idleness, laziness and mediocity are not the character of our Father, if you have these characters then you need to explain where you got them from but definitely not from God.

God has already set things in motion which you activate when you work in knowledge and wisdom.

The greatest of all was redemption which He had already done from the foundation of the world.

1Peter 1:20
He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

You mind and body ought always to be engaged in profitable work(s) then rest on your days of rest.

We live in a time when things are made eazy, knowledge abounds and e-solution is readily available. The issue is where priority is placed. You have the convienience of achieving your goals, dreams and purpose.

May we always be occupied doing good in all areas of life. Fulfilling our God given purpose.

Philippians 2:13
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

No believer has the right to stay idle or unproductive we were created and then commanded to bear fruit, to dominate the earth.

John 15:16
"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

The church is not allowed to keep people as pest to others.
Paul said he never made himself a burden to anyone, he worked and earned to fend for himself and others.

2Thessalonians 3:8
nor did we eat anyone's bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you,

2Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.

May the Lord increase us, more and more in all good things.

As He worked may we work and prosper. With JOY.

God bless you.
