KEEP BLESSING
Deuteronomy 28:6
Blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.
That is the promise God gave His own and He expects us to reflect it in all we do.
Definitely we feel pain and hurt when we are wronged, betrayed or hurt. More painful if it comes from a loved one.
Betrayal tears at the heart and the easiest thing to do is to wish evil for the one who hurt us. We could be tempted to curse with outspoken words or in our heart.
However we are reminded to bless and not to curse.
Romans 12:14
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Luke 6:28
"bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
Romans 12:19
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.
It is not that it is easy to do, however the Holy Spirit is there to help us.
That is why He came to live inside of us.
[If you are reading this and yet to receive, Jesus the Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The struggle continues. Why not let Him have control. We will yet stand before Him. Let us meet him as friends not as one who rejected Him. "John 15:15"]
If evil which we wish or speak as a curse manifest on those we see at a point in time as an enemy, it won't increase our joy.
What if that one we cursed really do repent, with regret of the wrong done and seeks forgiveness? We would become the one who did wrong!
So then it is wise to follow the Spirit's counsel.
Matthew 5:44
"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
May, LOVE, which is the first character of the Holy Spirit and whose name God bears overtake us, that we will BLESS and not curse. No matter how much we are hurt.
1John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
Let us train ourselves to it, the Character of God in us must be built up.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We will fulfil it, yes we will bless and not curse.
We are blessed.
Again I say
God bless you.
Love
