WHAT YOU CONTROL 2

WHAT YOU CONTROL 2

Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

We have taken control of our self.

Next we need to take control of our relationship with others.

We could be

* leading others: parent, employer, pastor, teacher or in rulership position( political or otherwise)

* be led by others: employee, laity, children, student, citizen, or just reporting to someone

* a spouse

*  neighbour

* a relation

* a public servant: a journalist, welfare worker, medical personnel, in the judiciary or in the armed forces or law enforcement

Whether we be reserved, outgoing or in between, we fall into one category or the other. We affect the lives of others.

That is why the bible says . . .

Hebrews 12:14 & 15
Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
looking diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

How we relate with others matter and the more the responsibility, the greater the care needed when we relate with others

* What we say
* What we do not say
* How we react
* What we do
* What we do not do

Every action do matter, the same way we expect good from others, we give good also.

As a believer it is our nature, that was how Jesus lived

Act 10:38a
 "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good . . . "

Jesus said

Matthew 18:6
 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

The little could be children, the little could be those just starting out in faith, the little could be those in need or you are previledged to have authority over.

Proverbs 28:10
Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he himself will fall into his own pit; But the blameless will inherit good things.

I see us having no fault in our relationship with others, we will not just think of ourselves alone, we will have others in mind.

The amplified version puts it this way . . .

Hebrews 12
[14]Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.

Have you told others of eternity, the life after here, have they insured their eternity?

Ezekiel 3:21
 "Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul."

You give out what you have, if you are good, you do good!

Luke 6:45
 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

I see good relationships, we will treat others good because we are of good.

Take control of what you control. Do it today.

God bless you.
