HIS angels on assignment

Psalm 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. The angels are God's workmen they carry out their assignments as the Lord had proposed to them, everyone having his duty and reason for being. The bible says that they also minister to those of us who are saved, having received adoption as sons: Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? However in no way are we given the right to command them thus and thus, they listen to the instruction of the Father. (Some of my senior ministers preach otherwise - well, we know in part , I stand with scriptures) 2Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain [was] full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. See here we see that Elisha did not instruct the angels but prayed to the Father!...

THE GLORY OF GOD

2Chronicles 20:6 and said: "O LORD God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? One thing is certain, that in all that man has done and will do, the focus will be on the Alpha and the Omega. Be they believers, non-believers and even atheists it is all around the fact that it all begins with and ends with God. The reference point is always God, that He is, or He is not. That He wants it this way or He wants it that way. That there is only one way or that there are many ways. No matter the stand, it all circles around God. For those who have not believed, they will eventually believe, but at what time they finally do, will thus determine if we should rejoice over them or cry for them. If it is on this earth, that is in their lifetime, then we can rejoice, but if it is after here then it is tragic. Daniel 4:17 'This decision i...

YOU SHOULD BLESS

Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. Definitely we feel pain and hurt when we are wronged, betrayed or hurt. More painful if it comes from a loved one. The bible makes it seem so hard to use the flesh and rightfully so, for when we ought to think of revenge, scripture says we should bless! Betrayal tears at the heart and the easiest thing to do is to wish evil for the one who hurt us. We could be tempted to curse with outspoken words or in our heart. Today we are reminded to bless and not to curse. Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Luke 6:28 "bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. Romans 12:19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. It is not that it is easy to do, however the Holy Spirit is there to help us. That is why He came to live inside ...

LIBERTY - Why Christ came.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Jesus the Christ came to bring liberty, because man was in bondage. 1. Man was poor : Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: Man was poor in his soul he had nothing for eternity, he had no reward, one cannot talk of wealth with what is perishable. Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor o...

FREE TO BE SONS

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Who knows what it means to be a father than the author of family himself, "God the Father". One beautiful thing about being a son is liberty. We can talk with the Father, be loved by the Father and enjoy His presence not in any negative fear but in reverence, yes in honour. Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The kind of fear we have is not that of a slave to the master but of son to father. 2 Corinthians 6:18, 7:1 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.  Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Thus we live like the family we are born into, we live ...

PRAISE THE LORD

Psalms 113:2-4 Blessed be the name of the Lord lord now and forever. Everywhere—from east to west— praise the name of the lord. For the Lord is high above the nations;  his glory is higher than the heavens. Praise belongs to God. God is praised all over the earth, many have praised Him before we came into existence many more will yet praise Him today, tomorrow, and even when we leave the scene. Angels and the Host of heaven praise Him continually. The Elders now before Him continually. What a privilege to be part of the number to give Him praise. Glory to God. Do you know that some have abandoned belief in God, some have rejected salvation which He gave in His Son Jesus the Christ. We are privileged to believe and be sustained. Hebrews 10:38-39 And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved. So p...

GOD WILL NOT FORGET YOU!

Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. One great example of love, care and sacrifice is the relationship between mother and sucking child. Yet in times of great crises a mother may have to run and leave her child. Today we even see females who throw away or kill their children because they feel they are not ready to be mothers. We look at God talking of the children of zion, Israel, how Jesus the Christ will rise from their midst and bring salvation and deliver them from their enemy. (though Israel did not know her real enemy) Isaiah 49 : 13 & 10 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.  They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs o...

WHEN IT FINALLY COMES

Psalms 116:14 I will pay my vows to the LORD Now in the presence of all His people. There was the time we sought God's face for one thing or the other. We desired so much we could even have gone to the length of making a vow or promising to do this or that when the Lord brings it to pass. Was it when we waited on Him for: * marriage * work * promotion * health/healing * money * a house * deliverance from one problem or another * academic success * help on behalf of family or friend * a position of authority * a breakthrough * children  etc The situation could have been in any measure. Will we forget all the promises, all that we determined in our heart to do? All the good intentions. God told the children of Isreal Deuteronomy 6:12 "then beware, lest you forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Funny enough they did forget! 1Samuel 1:11 Then she made a vow and said, "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of ...

YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT

James 1:4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Content to wait if necessary; not losing one's temper while waiting; not bothered with having to wait; not unwilling to wait. This is the English definition of "patient". The description is so clear, not losing one's temper while waiting. It may be an easy topic to talk or write about, but it is not easy in practice. 2 Peter 1:6 & 7 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. Peter emphasizes this too. The lack is why many believers are not fruitful, and some do not practice godliness. They are not patient enough to be led by God's Spirit. 2 Peter 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus many cannot see what God's p...

Now We See

Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us. This is a great victory that God had worked in us through His son Jesus the Christ. Transgressions,  guilt and unbelief keep us from experiencing the glory of our maker. Adam lost it at the garden of eden, however God then made us greater, we live in the Holy Spirit everyday, not just a visit in the evenings but a continual dwelling in the Holy Spirit. However, without sight we remain in slavery, because when you do not see, you cannot become, then you cannot enter. @the watcher Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.. .  (selah) John 3:3 & 5 ...

CAN YOU SEE?

Acts 7:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. He was Stephen not one of the apostles he was a faithful steward the bible says that he and others chosen with him were honest, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom. They were members of the church. Acts 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. What were they chosen to do? Acts 6:2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples [unto them], and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. "to serve tables" However, there was something about these men that could not keep them serving tables: They had moved from believing to seeing. We can testify of two of them: Acts 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nica...

LIVING LIKE CHRIST

Ephesians 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ; Many things we do, we need to source its origin, many things we teach, practice and emphasize we need to prove that it is of Christ. It is terrible to attribute to the Holy Spirit what is not His. Jesus called it the unforgivable sin. Therefore beware preacher, teacher and clergy, you cannot afford to teach errors, you cannot afford to say "Thus says that Lord . . ." when the Lord hadn't said! We need to search our hearts,  make it bare to the Father and say "anything that is not of you let it not be part of me" David said: Psalms 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. When Christ Jesus spoke they hear...

HE KEEPS HIS OWN

John 10:29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.  Glory to God.  We will face tribulations, we will face trials, we could have plenty of needs to be met. We could be so faithful, or sometimes slip a bit. We also could be in plenty and even have more than enough. In all, no one can pluck us out of the hands of our Father! This is the truth every believer must understand and know. No one, power, force or devil should tell us otherwise. We are the only ones that can take ourselves away from Him. Selah John 17:15-16 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.  They do not belong to this world any more than I do.  So let no situation make you begin to doubt your salvation or your sonship. Instead of worrying, let us begin to pray. It is not that it will be all easy, but consistency pays. For we are still wearing the flesh, yet we are contro...

We are Free to Worship

Psalm 24:3 Who may go up into the hill of the Lord? and who may come into his holy place? The hypocritical leaders of the Sanhedrin felt they had the right to put people out of the synagogue because they were sinners. They felt they were the ones to determine who was worthy or not worthy of worship. Luke 18:11-13 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as [his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Well Christ ended all that tyranny and false monopoly. Halleluyah, the glorious lamb of God came and declared God's liberation: John 4:21, 23 & 24 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father...

LED BY THE SPIRIT

John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. When a person receives grace to believe the salvation in Christ Jesus that the Father has given to us, repents and accepts this new life, he receives the Holy Spirit and is thus empowered to be God's son and to live the life of faith. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. However, the flesh man is not destroyed, it will be destroyed at the return of Christ, we should understand that when a man dies, Christ has already taken place for him, because there is no way he can walk any more in faith, his epistle has already be...

Different Denominations

Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind. We have many denominations here and there all to the glory of God: Genesis 11:8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. That God scattered men across the world, giving different languages also led to man having diverse cultures and practices. Yet we should remember that there was always the beginning. (Matthew 19:8) Selah! Yes, there would be some disparity in beliefs and practices yet we should remember that the Word remains ONE. So no matter what we teach, correct, or try to make an impact in, it does not have to become a strife, or a form of superiority it should be with love. Philippians 2:3 [Let] nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. However, it must be the truth and not human doctrines or that of demons. ...

Surprised

Mark 6:6 And he was greatly surprised because they had no faith. And he went about the country places teaching. Every farmer who sows expects a good harvest, no farmer sows and expects loss. No one invests and expects to lose, the essence of the investment is that profit would be made. Act 3:12 And when Peter saw it he said to the people, You men of Israel, why are you so greatly surprised at this man? or why are you looking at us as if by our power or virtue we had given him the use of his legs? Act 4:13 Now when they saw that Peter and John were without fear, though they were men of no education or learning, they were greatly surprised; and they took note of them that they had been with Jesus. The act of expecting and seeing something else has been a long age event. Many have appeared strong but have displayed weakness, many have appeared weak but have displayed great strength. The greatest bewilderment that could happen to anyone is to finish the life here on earth and discover that...

NO MORE FAILING

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. For anyone who has not yet believed and been saved, there is grace to be saved today, all they need to do is to call on Him today through His Son Jesus the Christ then they receive salvation. ("As a believer have you been telling the unsaved this?") Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. That said, does a believer then need salvation again. No, however a believer can lose the way, allowing flesh to reign. Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Any believer who lives after the flesh would fall back into the bondage of sin "I am an example, anyone can slip". Once you allow the flesh to reign, sin is n...

Make the Right Exchange

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Many have traded their joy chasing over material things and the pleasures and satisfaction of the world. The question is "is it worth it?". Yes, we must earn, work and keep improving day after day but we must remember "nothing is free". We must pay a price. So, what are we ready to sacrifice? Some have sacrificed, their: * health * peace of mind * children * marriage * calling * ministry * good name All in the bid to get material things. 2Timothy 4:10 for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica-- Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia. There is always a process, we would get into trouble when we try to use the shortcut, to get it by all means and immediately. Let us be careful of what exchange we make! Let us ask like ...

ARE YOU CONTENTED?

1 Timothy 6:6  But godliness with contentment is great gain. When some scriptures are read we are reminded that there is a context and there is a time, the times we are in now differ from what it was when the word came, thus it was expressed according to the prevailing time. What do I mean? This does not say that God's revealed or spoken word has changed or does not imply the same thing, NO, God's word is Yea and Amen! Let us look at an example: Hebrews 13:2 (BBE) Take care to keep open house: because in this way some have had angels as their guests, without being conscious of it. Now this does not mean that you leave your house unlocked because you want to entertain strangers, no, in this times, one coming across, even coming to ask lodging from you, ought to be investigated to ascertain that they do not come with ulterior motives. Thus when we read: 1Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. We should understand that having raiment incl...

PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS

John 13 : 3 - 5 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;  After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe [them] with the towel wherewith he was girded. We live in the times when so many a leader desire to domineer over those whom they are to lead. Many canvas for the votes of the people so as to take up leadership position, however when they get the mandate they look down on these same people, they do not consider them when they take decisions, they do not take their interest at heart and many even steal or loot the commonwealth. We talk of secular leaders, they act as if they do not know that they would give account. Surely ALL MUST ACCOUNT TO GOD. Remember God has left all judgment to His Son. selah! "IT IS A CURSE TO LEAD THOSE YOU DO NOT LOVE"... selah! @the watcher What of the body of Christ? In the church do we follow the example of Christ? ...

THAT JUICY SERMON

2Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; One thing must be clear the message of salvation is "the good news": Matthew 24:14 (BBE) And this good news of the kingdom will be given through all the world for a witness to all nations; and then the end will come. The good news is the redemption of man from the bondage of the law and from the power of sin and death. The adoption into sonship and the right to  live and rule in eternity with Christ. Revelation 1 : 5 & 6 And from Jesus Christ, the true witness, the first to come back from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who had love for us and has made us clean from our sins by his blood; And has made us to be a kingdom and priests to his God and Father; to him let glory and power be given for ever and ever. So be it. Yes it is the good news, however sound doctrine entails th...

WE DO NOT DWELL IN SIN

Romans 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. The believer has no business dwelling in sin, for Christ has dealt with that on the cross and brought us into the new life by His burial and resurrection. Romans 6:4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. The argument of whether salvation can be lost or not is really a great one. However, my advice is that we must search the scriptures properly and listen properly in the Spirit before we declare. (let me leave it to my spiritual elders for now). Many do not want to sin because of the fear of losing their salvation. I believe the bible wants us to stay away from sin because we love God and want to continually be in His presence. No matter what it is - stay away from sin! One thing I have learnt is not to teach personal experience but the word of God, I am not the sav...

WE ARE COVERED

Psalm 91:1 & 2 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Every one who has matured and experienced things in this life know that there are things that come against man and desire that man be destroyed. However we who believe the scriptures know that our enemy is the devil and by deceit and fear he can keep man in bondage. This morning we are reminded that we who have believed in the son of God and returned to the Father through the only way, truth and life (John 14:6), do have a covering that the enemy can do nothing about. Job 1:10 "Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. Thus we do not need to live each day in fear of the enemy's attack on us or our own, what we do is in th...

THE SON IS GLORIFED

John 5:22-28 In addition, the Father judges no one. Instead, he has given the Son absolute authority to judge, so that everyone will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son is certainly not honoring the Father who sent him. “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life. “And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice—the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live. The Father has life in himself, and he has granted that same life-giving power to his Son. And he has given him authority to judge everyone because he is the Son of Man. Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, Still in these times and days some have an argument on Yeshua Hamaschiac, Jesus t...

WE ARE IN DIFFERENT PHASES - BE CONSIDERATE

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: The same way the weather does not remain constant at all times, the state of the mind of man varies with what he experiences at each point in time, thus you may not be in the same state of mind with your neighbour. You may be in: * plenty while the other is in want; * happiness while the other is sad; * strength while the other needs rest; * hunger while the other is filled already; * need of conversation while the other just wants quiet; * a spiritual light while the other is in a carnal state * a need of people around you while the other wants time alone * an experience of joy in their work while the other hungers for a way out. We do not expect to always be in the same situation with others, our seasons may differ. When we know this we also understand when to give and when to receive. Thus to avoid strife, wisdom says we should consider one another. Hebrews 12:14-15 Work at living in...

YOU ARE RELEVANT

Esther 4:14b and who is to say that you have not come to the kingdom even for such a time as this? Every human is relevant, no one was born as a mistake. We were not born empty, we were created with potential not inertia, we have the energy to become. Glory. Every place we go and every season we encounter is for a purpose, we have relevance there, there is something to accomplish. There is a function. Proverbs 16:4 The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster. We could lose sight of these if we only dwell on the difficulties or focus our mind on those aspects that do not look favourable to us. Also, if we make complain a habit. But God who sees all things and knows all things, is able to make all things abound towards us. 2 Corinthians 9:8. And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work: God allows us go from stage to stage, every previous ...

LIVE LIKE WHOSE YOU ARE

1John 3 : 2 & 3 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Now we know that our change will take place when Christ returns, for now we carry our flesh with us. This should make us more cautious. For the flesh becomes a burden when we allow it have it's way. Paul said: Romans 7:23-24 But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? This is why when sin or works of the flesh is talked about it is an instruction: Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Ephesians 4:22 That ye put...

GET OUT OF IT

Psalm 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, [and] established my goings. James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. The Lord did not create man to fail, and what is failure, other than to stay in failure. Look at the prodigal son: Luke 15:17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! It is a trick of the enemy to make a believer or even a non believer remain in the place of sin! Also in any form of failure. Most of the time, it is the enemy and his agents that bring the suggestion of wrong to the mind, thus when the mind receives it, having the power to create it breeds on it and it takes life. Then as the bible says death follows. So okay, we have made the mistake, yes we have done that so called, "little wron...

ACCOLADES

Romans 14:12 & 13 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.  Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in [his] brother's way. It is a privilege to be called of God, to accept the salvation that God offered to us. Some would not enjoy this grace. Remember many would still continue to practice religions, many would still want to remain in sin and many would refuse to believe. Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, It is offered freely to all men but the architect is the Heavenly Father and thus it is Him who would bring any man. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Thus, God is the one who draws man to Himself, however man could resist and that is why man can be condemned. John 3:19 & 18 And this is the condemnation, that light is com...
