THE WORK CONTINUES

Acts 14:2-3 

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.


Just like every successful person, you don't leave because you face challenges, you only let go when it is not working or you are no longer welcome. You do not leave your vision, dream, goal or that clear instruction but you are moving forward to fulfil it.


So Paul and Barnabas also faced opposition in Iconium, they yet persisted for many still believed. Until it got to plotting to kill them, they had to leave. Not to leave the mission or assignment. Their departure was to continue the good work.


Acts 14:5-7

Then a mob of Gentiles and Jews, along with their leaders, decided to attack and stone them.

When the apostles learned of it, they fled to the region of Lycaonia—to the towns of Lystra and Derbe and the surrounding area.

And there they preached the Good News.


Wisdom is knowing what to do in every circumstance, do I stay, do I move on, do I change direction? 


The Heavenly Father promises to direct His own, thus when Christ left He did not leave us alone, the Holy Spirit was given to us.


Psalms 37:23

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.


John 14:16-17

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.

He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.


The Holy Spirit is not a man, He is the Spirit of the Heavenly Father that hovered over the earth before creation. He is not a prophet or any human as some LIARS try to convince people. (These liars are so annoying they never read scriptures completely, only search out isolated verses to make their hideous claims - the wrath of God is reserved for them. Remember that Christ said, the unforgivable sin is the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Woe!)


For the Holy Spirit has been there from the beginning and He was the one with the Son of God when He walked the earth as a man.


So the work continued, you cannot stop liars, religious folks, rebellious or atheists, you continue the work as a light that shines through the darkness.


Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.

No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.


Dear Father may we live as light everyday, bringing glory to your name. We love You Lord.


He calls us blessed.

NEVER TAKE REVENGE!

Romans 12:19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge;I will pay them back,” says the lord. Offences would surely come as we continue our journey here on earth. One thing we must learn to do is never to act when we are angry. Almost one hundred percent of the time, if we reflect on it, we find that we regret our actions. It is not that we do not get angry, the bible teaches that even when we do, it should not lead us to sin. Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: If an enemy hurts us, well what do we expect from an enemy. However betrayal is when a friend intentionally hurts us. Check it! What makes us think it is intentional? So better to talk about it than be silent!
