The sword

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.


Briefly let us look at the weapon of the believer. It is the word of God. The word of God is scriptures, the same way we master the use of a weapon, be it a sword, spear or a gun, the same way we master God's word that we may know how to use it. 


2 Timothy 2:15

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.


The battle we fight is against the enemy, and what is his weapon? Fear and ignorance. Remember:


Genesis 3:1a 

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. 


Revelation 12:9 

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.


So we must understand that our weapons are not carnal but mighty through God. The battle as I have always said, and as scriptures teaches us, is in the mind. Our thoughts must be guarded. 


2 Corinthians 10:4

We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.


So one of the things we must decide to perfect this year is the use of the sword, we must teach all in our home the same, especially our children.

Ephesians 6:12-13,17

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.


We are victorious, glory to God. 


He calls us blessed.

CHRIST'S RULE

Isaiah 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. The prophecy on Judah's predicament did not end there, there was the prophecy of the return of the remnant. The end of the days will see a new wave of peace and joyous happiness.
