ACCORDING TO HIS WILL

2 Chronicles 1:7,10

That night God appeared to Solomon and said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly, for who could possibly govern this great people of yours?”


One painful thing that could happen to anyone is to miss an opportunity. However, the greatest of all opportunities is to get a blank cheque from the one who holds all things, the Alpha and Omega. 


What would you ask for?


Jesus revealed to us that:


If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.


So, God honours our requests according to His will.


John who was with Christ and closest to Him explains it further:


1John 5:14-15

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.


The key then is to ask according to His will. How do we know the Father's will? By abiding in Him, Letting His words dwell in us.


"But if you remain in me and my words remain in you . . . 


This is what Solomon did that pleased God that He blessed Him immensely!


God's will was for Him to lead the people he was made king over according to the will of God in wisdom and that was exactly what Solomon asked for.


This was God's response:


2 Chronicles 1:11-12

God said to Solomon, “Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people—

I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!”


His will is what will make the difference. So many wills try to dominate us, from divers sources, however, we must ensure to know the will of the Lord and do it.


We will not waste our open cheque, we will walk in the will of the Lord and then our requests will align to His will.


Yes we prosper and increase in all good things. Glory to God.


PRAYER 

Loving Father I align to Your will and ways, help me Lord to always please You in all things. All is well with me and mine. Halleluyah.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
