IF HE SAID IT, HE WILL DO IT
Joshua 21:43-45
So the Lord gave to Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there.
And the Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had solemnly promised their ancestors. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the Lord helped them conquer all their enemies.
Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.
If the Lord promised it be rest assured that He will bring it to pass.
The One He gave the promise to believed it whole heatedly and proved it by His obedience. The same with his son and further on to his grandson.
Hebrews 11:8-9
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.
And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise.
However, the people who were saved from the captivity after they and their fathers had been enslaved for four hundred years did not believe.
They actually saw God's mighty works, from the plagues in Egypt, the cloud by day and fire by night leading them. Then they watched the red sea part in front of them, for them to walk on dry ground, in that same sea the Egyptian army perished when they tried to pursue.
These ones did not believe, they yet kept complaining and rebelling against God
It didn't take them more than forty days to make an idol to worship.
In all of these, they cried out for immediate gratification. The Lord sent them manna and quail and gave them water in the wilderness. Yet the refused to believe.
What a twist, none of them who were above 20, was allowed to enter the promise land! Only the faithful Caleb and Joshua were exempted.
Now see the fulfilment of the promise, see the testimony, the victory, they did not get to enjoy it because:
* they were impatient
* they were complainers
* they were disobedient taking the slightest opportunity to sin against God
* they did not believe
Doesn't this show a reflection of most of the young people we have today?
Everyone wants the easy way even while they are on the journey to their destination, many are not patient to learn, they don't pray as they should, they don't study the word of God as they should. Many are disobedient to their godly parents. Rebellion to any good thing comes easy to them.
The desire is for immediate gratification, carnality has eaten into them.
Many of them are now parents and they have nothing good to offer to their children. So the corruption continues.
Today places were Christian values reigned have now become apostate, LGBTQ and other abominable vices have sprung up and are now on open display.
As Paul warned:
Romans 1:18,23-29,32
But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.
And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.
They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.
That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.
And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.
Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.
Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.
They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
Listen child of God, do not join them, just as Caleb and Joshua were rewarded for their faithfulness, you will also.
Are things seeming delayed for you, do not fret, the Lord who promised will surely bring it to pass just stay faithful. Listen even as you pray, keep doing the good work. Be ready to adjust and change when the Lord directs you, truly He will never disappoint you and most of all, your eternity is secured.
Parents, can we arise, it is not easy but we must lead them aright till they get to the age of accountability.
Pastors, elders, can we arise, there is so much work to do.
Intercessors can we arise, there is a lot to be settled in the spirit.
The times really show a great falling away and those who are supposed to be leaders in faith are contributing to this for they have set bad examples and related the wrong message(s).
There is yet a lot to do. We must bring back the faith of the brethren. The church must arise and truly represent Christ to the whole world.
He who promised will surely bring it to pass. Stay on Him.
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
Glory to God forevermore.
PRAYER
Loving Father keep me in faith and help all the brethren to stay in faith all around the world
May we not be distracted by the world and all it's happenings but be led by Your Spirit in all things. You have promised us Good things and You will fulfill them, help us to wait for it and yet prosper in all things as we get better and better by the day. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
@the watcher.
