IN THE COLD

Job 37:9

Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

Thunderbolts, high velocity waves followed by rains, a large downpour. Every calmness shattered, the noise followed by the wetting, then the COLD!

We as believers do face a similar situation sometimes. When the storms of life which is inevitable comes our way, if we give in, we become COLD and thus cannot be used to prepare any delicacy or even warm others

The cold in this context is:

* unfriendly,
* emotionally distant
* dispassionate
* not prejudiced or partisan
* completely unprepared;
* unconscious or deeply asleep;
* deprived of the metaphorical heat associated with life or consciousness.

The heat in this context is that which is life, that which keeps the believer active in spirit and in mission.

How do we keep warm?

Acts 6:4
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

We must continue in the doctrine of the word, prayer and worship.

1Timothy 4:16
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

We must keep ourselves and others warm.

May any cold that comes to us be that of Good News!

Proverbs 25:25
[As] cold waters to a thirsty soul, so [is] good news from a far country.

May the light of God keep us warm continually.

No challenge, difficulty, really no situation is too big or complex for God to handle for us.

Jesus said:

Mark 10:27
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”

He is God, He will take care of us.

Remember that no matter what happens. He remains God!

Glory to God.

PRAYER
Loving Father, I may be going through a hard time now but I am not alone, You are guiding me through it and I will come out quickly, victorious and better. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.
