BATTLE

1Corinthians 9:26

Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.

We must not get carried away, even when it seems all is working smoothly and everything is falling into place.

There is a war against purposeful use. Especially for the younger ones.

The enemy and his devices are still actively prepared to take our minds away from God's purpose and will.

The Lord brings a sister or brother to our attention with a prophecy or message of salvation. But if we have allowed lust, we could confuse the purpose of the attraction and allow sensuality to take its course.

The Lord opens our eyes to an idea that will bring in wealth and prosper the church. If we have allowed love of money or greed, we begin to think of negative ways to get that money. The mind could immediately travel to the personal things we want to spend the money on to satisfy ego or to impress people or the world.

A revelation or vision comes to us instead of taking it down to be able to meditate and develop on it later, we could decide to ignore and focus our mind on the usual things.

It could be an urge to pray, worship or just utter words in the Spirit.

It could further be instructions to bless someone, rebuke another or counsel a brethren. We still decide what we will eventually do.

Galatians 5:17

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

If we could see what battle we fight day after day in the spirit. We will most likely, do things in a different way. Our perspective will change and our decisions will be different.

We must not forget that as long as we live on earth, the battle is on and we cannot afford to sleep through it all. We must still be vigilant and be active in the spirit.

Ephesians 6:12

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

We must therefore put on the whole armour.

* Ephesians 6: 13 - 18

Remembering that the battles always begin and end with the mind.

Proverbs 4:23

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

We must make the right decisions, say the right things and take the right actions.

We must get used to being led by God's Spirit, understand when He speaks, since we are born again, we are born of the Spirit not of the flesh.

John 3:6

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

The fact that we have been fighting this war unconsciously does not mean it is not real. We win because Christ has won it. Therefore we believe and walk in that belief.

May we receive grace to be victorious day after day.

We are victors! More than conquerors!

Glory to God.

PRAYER

Loving Father, in You I have won the battle. Keep me Lord that I will not fall into temptation or derail but stand steadfast as the winner you have made me become. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.
