RAPHA (a reminder)
Matthew 4:24-25
News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed—he healed them all.
Large crowds followed him wherever he went—people from Galilee, the Ten Towns, Jerusalem, from all over Judea, and from east of the Jordan River.
Now one thing Christ came to do, if not the summary of all He came to do, was rapha - - - - healing, the word also refer to mending, restoration etc...
Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
The totality of it all is restoration. A man dead in sin experiences Christ and he is born again, a total regeneration. A healing of the soul!
The prophets prophesied about it:
Malachi 4:2
“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.
This verse comes in the midst of prophesy of judgment, however the symbolic is made clear when we see the sun as the light and the wings as His garment. One woman by faith played out this revelation and received her healing:
Mark 5:28-29
For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”
Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.
Knowledge brings healing, this woman displayed faith by a divine knowledge that came to her, for the touching went beyond a physical impact it was a spiritual connection which was activated by faith. Many got knowledge of this and also began to act:
Mark 6:55-56
and they ran throughout the whole area, carrying sick people on mats to wherever they heard he was.
Wherever he went—in villages, cities, or the countryside—they brought the sick out to the marketplaces. They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.
See the Lord still heals today, there are three steps common to those who received the healing, either by touching Him or He touching them, by His hands or by spoken word.
* worship
* faith
* action
Reverence is the first step, the acknowledgement of His majesty, Christ the Rapha, for He is the very nature of the Father, Yahweh Rapha. All who received healing recognized His majesty.
Next is faith, for you must believe.
Finally is the action, prayer, speaking forth, taking that water, extract or medication. Whatever it is He instructs you. Even a glass of water can become a symbolic reaching out to touch His garment. Also drugs, which could just be natural plants and roots and ofcourse good medications.
We must realize that there is nothing so big, so difficult, so complicated that the Heavenly Father cannot handle, Christ came to prove that to us, if He could give His Son, every other thing is minor.
Finally, we must remember that at the end of all things, there will be a total healing, every tear will be wiped away, those with incomplete bodies will receive complete spiritual bodies, everything will be perfect, yes, our pains and struggles end here, the immeasurable time we have after here will not have any of the struggles here:
Revelation 21:3-4
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
And even today His healing is very much alive, are you down, worship, reach out to touch His robe with faith, He is still "rapha" today.
Thank you Heavenly Father for your healing.
He calls us blessed.
Love
@the watcher.
