THE CHARACTER OF THE CHRISTIAN 1

David was one of those people that were privileged to sit in the office of a prophet. He also testified of the revelation of Yeshua, Jesus the Christ. He received revelation on the character of the believer:

Psalms 15:1-5(NLT)
[1]Who may worship in your sanctuary, lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
[2]Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
[3]Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.
[4]Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the lord, and keep their promises even when it hurts.
[5]Those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever.

As simple as this description may be, many of us still fall short of these good character. Why?

James 1:14-16(NLT)
[14]Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.
[15]These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
[16]So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters.

It is not that we do not want to live our lifestyle as believers, remembering that our salvation gives us power to be God's sons and thus have overcome sin, we still have desires and thus we could erroneously long to satisfy them.

Romans 12(NLT)
[2]Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

We need to know that we learn OBEDIENCE IN OBEDIENCE!

This of course is better so that we do not become lost or reprobate.

The truth is that the consciousness of who we are must be in us, night and day, we must not loose guard. We must show forth the praises of Him who called us.

The Lord will continue to lead us aright.

Have a blessed mid-week.
