LEAD AND BE LED ARIGHT

John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. Who is leading you and who are you leading? Are we being led rightly and are we leading others rightly? When Jesus said that those born of the flesh are flesh and those born of the Spirit are spirit. He spoke of the kind of life we would live day after day. It is a hard thing to be led by those who do not have the Spirit. The same way it is great to have a gifted, talented and intelligent boss who knows how to make decisions, every leader must know what is to be done at each point in time. If God is leading, a lot of errors could be avoided. How difficult it is to be led by those who are moved by their feelings or the atmosphere of the moment. Those under them tend to suffer. Let us take a look at Saul: 1Samuel 14:24, 27 & 29 And the men of Israel were distressed that...

TRUST IN THE LORD

John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Christ did not call us besides Himself, He saved us not to be left on our own but that we should be empowered by Him. To draw from His own life source. The Heavenly Father! John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Yes we become channels by which God's life force flows. Not mere containers, cause we will be exhausted, yes we channel out, thus we keep being fed. Halleluyah! It is condemnation for those who refuse to put their trust in God. For condemnation is as a result of rejection. IF YOU REJECT HIM HE REJECTS YOU TOO. John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned. 1Samuel 15:23 For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity...

GOD IS GLORIFIED

1 Peter 4:10&11 As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. That God may be glorified, . However when it is for self glory, for a competition or for pleasing men, we lose the divine nature of the gift or anointing. Whenever our stewardship is not centered to please the Heavenly Father we begin to lose its essence and failure is eminent. Everything we do as believers even our eating and drinking ought to give God glory! 1Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Even more so, is our ministry! So, enough of trying to please man, enough of seeking for compliments or being acceptable. It is time for ...

DON'T BE PART OF THE CORRUPTED

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. We certainly live in times when false prophets, false teachers and false leaders have filled many parts of the earth. Many who are not called of God, neither seeking Him but having an agenda of their own and some are agents of the evil one. Another category are those who initially were called of the Lord, but have now abandoned the way and have sought another. Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. They teach that you can be of God and still live in immorality: Jude 1:4 I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such peo...

WE KEEP MOVING

Exodus 14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: There is nothing wrong in resting, it is actually wisdom to know when to rest, to take time out. However the rest is for you to arise renewed and keep moving forward. As we continue our journey through this world, time and again we face challenges that slow us down. Situations do arise that make us suddenly pause and sometimes it could seem so overwhelming that we feel all would come to an end. However, we are not moved by feeling but by FAITH! For the believer we should understand that we are not on our own, the Lord is with us. Psalm 46:1-3 God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; [Though] the waters thereof roar [and] be troubled, [though] the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. The children of Isr...

HEALING FOR US

Malachi 4:2 But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. The desire of God for us is that we should be in good health. The earth consists of things which could make our natural body weak and fall to sickness. Some ailments were from birth, some developed from activities done after birth, some as a result of bad life style, some as a result of eating the wrong things and recently from the activities of man in improving technologies, wars and also industrialisation. From the beginning of time God has been in the business of healing. The fall of man as recorded in Genesis 3 made man liable to sicknesses and diseases. But God had always shown His power to heal. His mercy was revealed from His children of Israel and all who still came from the outside received their healing, when they stirred up their faith and came to God. An example is that of Naaman the Syrian commander who was healed ...

DON'T GIVE IN

Proverbs 23:31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, [when] it moveth itself aright. We who have come to Christ have left the ways of the world and all that is unrighteous to follow the new path Christ has laid for us. Our greatest desire is to always please the Heavenly Father. Just as Jesus, the Son of the Heavenly Father said, we are not taken out of the world but we are kept from evil. That was His prayer for us. Yet we must give accounts, we must face our trials and tribulations and overcome them. John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Romans 5:3 And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Knowing this, then why would we as believers tend to...

THE FAITH WALK

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them]. When the liberty Christ brought us into is spoken of, some find it difficult to comprehend. Many still need to be guarded by the law. Why is this? They have not yielded to the Spirit of God. They have refused to grow. 1 Peter 2:1-3 So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. Many received salvation but have not been taught the rudiments of the new life they have received. That is rejecting the former life of sin and embracing the new birth into righteousness. It is not now about "do not touch" , "do not eat", "observe this day or that day", or "reverence this being or that being" or "glo...

GRACE EXPRESSED

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: We were called from rejection into royalty. Empowered to live the type of life God wants us to live. That we would show forth the praises of Him who brought us into His everlasting life. Thus having been brought out of the bondage of the law, which was not actually given to us but to the Jews. We enjoy eternal grace as the bible puts it "the Jews first then the Gentiles". Yes that is why Jesus started His ministry with the Jews. However He continued in Samaria and He said "to the uttermost part of the earth". Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Thus, the gentiles never had the law, so it was easy for the grace to be expressed, it was(and is) more difficult for the Jews cause they had been...

ABIDE IN CHRIST!!!

John 6:28-29 They replied, “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?” Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” They had been fed miraculously and they rushed down again to see Him who fed them just as Jesus said, that they may be fed again. They even wanted to crown Him king (stomach infrastructure, smiles) John 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. They had heard that the Heavenly Father supplied manna from heaven to them when they were in the wilderness so they said: John 6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. However they did not know the extent of the Messiah's rule, they did not understand that God had left all judgment to Him. They had forgotten the prophecy. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a c...

ARE YOU AWAKE?

Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak. Staying awake is one very important role of the soldier. It is something that the body must be trained to do. Same thing applies to the believer, the watch is so important for us to stay victorious. Then comes the phrase "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak!". Matthew 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? The power and forces of darkness are at work and they ought not to meet us unprepared. Glory to God, we do not fight with weapons that are carnal, but with God's power that can pull down every strong hold. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4(NLT) We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. SO: Parents: Stay awake for your children Children:...

THE PROUD CHRISTIAN

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Can we ignore the great things and elevation we receive/received when we accepted/accept the salvation we have from the Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus. They are enormous. From nothing we become something. No matter who or what we thought we were or had. In spiritual measurement it is valueless. Ecclesiastes 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; Do we know what it is to have direct access to the Father? (though sometimes we forget that we do) To sit with Christ in heavenly places! However many have to be warned not to take these privileges for granted. Romans 11:20-22 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:  For if God spared not the natural branches, [take...

THE WISDOM FROM GOD

Ecclesiastes 12:12 And further, my son, be admonished by these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh It has been observed that as you grow to the zenith of academics your region of expertise begins to narrow down, you have areas of specialization. One thing is fact, there is no end to learning for man, when you think you know so much on a matter someone else arrives and dwarfs or levels your knowledge. A man can make so much noise on an issue but someone else comes and counters his claims. Proverbs 18:17 The first one to plead his cause seems right, until his neighbor comes and examines him. One still remains true and infallible and that is the call of God to every heart and mind and the evidence of His presence all around us. You may argue or try to use your human instinct to explain it, yet it will elude you. The workings of God and His salvation plan by coming to earth in human form in the person of His Son further to the revelation and pres...

IS THE LAW VOID?

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. We must not forget the simple truth. The law reigned till John the baptist was revealed. Then a new covenant was revealed: Matthew 3:7-12 But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to watch him baptize, he denounced them. “You brood of snakes!” he exclaimed. “Who warned you to flee God’s coming wrath? Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones. Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire. “I baptize with water those who repent of ...

DON'T STAY AWAY

Exodus 33:15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not [with me], carry us not up hence. Where the word of God is, His presence is. Hebrews 5:11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. There may be days we do not feel like dwelling in the word of God or do not feel relaxed enough to meditate on it. It could be that we are exhausted, occupied or just not in the mood. Staying long enough in that withdrawal or denial is dangerous, for eventually it becomes normal and we do not feel uncomfortable if a day passes and we have not heard from God. I love this lyrics from Jeremy Camp's song titled "slow fade"  ["It is a slow fade, when you give yourself away  A slow fade when black and white turns to gray  Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid  When you give yourself away  People never crumble in a day] The urge to hear from God fades away as we go day by day without hearing from Him. Though we may hav...

ARE YOU A JUDGE?

Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. Many rush to take the seat of the judge over matters they either have no idea about or have no moral standing to judge. Take for instance the Scribes and Pharisees: John 8:7, 9, 10-11 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And they which heard [it], being convicted by [their own] conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, [even] unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. They would have been so pissed of...

AN ECLIPSE

Ecclesiastics 3:1 To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: An eclipse occurs when there is an obstruction to the full reflection of the sun. Partial or full darkness is experienced. We can relate this to our real life experiences. In life we have times of eclipse, it is expected, though sometimes it comes and our reaction escalates it beyond its real magnitude depending on how we face it. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been proved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. We may feel as if the Lord is not with us. We may ask, where is God at this time? Hebrews 13:5b for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Do you feel unholy, unworthy that you have not lived up to God's standard this past season? Are there goals you have set, plans you have made and all seems to have failed? Are there requests you have been making to God this past season an...

ALWAYS GIVE THANKS

Psalm 116:12 What shall I render unto the LORD [for] all his benefits toward me? 1Thessalonians 5:18 "in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." No better prayer than giving thanks, when you give thanks for what He has done be sure that He will do more. We do good to keep taking stock of what the Lord does for us, we shouldn't allow the enemy to load our minds only with what we wait for. How glorious it will be if all believers were "Thanksgivers" our lives will definitely be faultless. Prayer should not be asking, asking and asking like the relationship with a baby. With God all things are already done. We just align to what is done. Even in asking when you feel so anxious the bible says do it with thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Before anything else give thanks to God for giving you life and for gi...

WHY?

1Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; I have heard many times this phrase "Do not question God", I really do not understand what concept it initiates from. Most likely when someone is bereaved and is in grief, it is believed that one shouldn't ask "why" the person had to leave at that time. One thing although is not argued. "We can question ourselves". Most people who break forth and make an impact in life, most likely initiated their break forth from the "WHY" One of the most important questions one can ask is "Why am I here?" Exodus 9:16 "But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth. Romans 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "Even for this same purpose I have raised yo...

RELEASING POWER

Romans 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; Age long practice has been to pass down blessings through the family line. All good parents continue this practice. I believe the genesis of this is seen in the book of Genesis: Genesis 1:28b And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: Genesis 49:28 All these [are] the twelve tribes of Israel: and this [is it] that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them. In these times when people are carried away by the flesh and earthly wealth, we cannot afford to neglect the release of power by the hand of Father's, Elders and most importantly the Presbyterian: 1 Timothy 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. God does not ignore this grace, not even in these times. ...

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!

Romans 1:4-6 and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ. We are part of God's family, having a place in His eternal kingdom. We are here, but we are citizens of heaven. We win here and win eternally. If only we remember what great calling we have. If only we know what a privileged adoption we have. If only we know how great was the sacrifice If only we know the extent of love. If only we know how much there is to lose or gain. WE WILL RE-LIVE OUR LIVES! Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard...
