TRUE LOVE?

Romans 5:5 NLT

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.


Love could be described from many approaches or philosophy. From the question: "what type of love?", we could begin to talk of the various kinds of love,  eros, philo, agape etc.


However, Love is a Person, and we know Him to be the only one who can claim this:


1John 4:8b

for God is love.


Many who have read the old testament would wonder at much killings, bloodshed and wrath. The truth is, God had not yet been revealed.  We could say, what of all the prophets that were anointed to shew him forth?

Remember the scriptures said:


John 1:18

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].


Jesus revealed God to us as who He is: Love!


John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.


Luke 9: 54 - 56

And when his disciples James and John saw [this], they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save [them]. And they went to another village.


Most of the time we give God a representation that causes those who observe us to make a wrong judgement.


Many have painted a picture of someone else as God, through the wrath message they preach, all chaos, punishment the mammon messages and condemnations.  Truly many of these ones do not know God. Could they know Him better than the Son?


Every love man shows, is an offshoot of God's love,  God is the definition of love.


1John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.


I serve a God of love He is my Father and friend. What of you?


Yes there is judgement but what God offers is love. If you reject His love then He leaves you to what He is not, and of course we know that when lights leaves, darkness steps in. Selah


May God's love be revealed in us and through us. Amen.


PRAYER

Loving Father, help me to walk in Your love, I am a beneficiary and I am also an ambassador, help me to represent You well in all I think, say or do. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

DO YOU STILL SEE?

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us?
