STAY AFLOAT
Matthew 14:30-32
But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.
Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”
When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped.
The world and all its issues are like a big sea which each of us have to walk on.
Every step we take leads us forward progressively to fulfil our goals, to accomplish our purpose.
I saw this definition of afloat in the dictionary.
Definition: Afloat
making successful progress under one's own steam.
For us to stay afloat we need to do these:
* stay light:
get rid of all unnecessary burden of sin, guilt, hate, tribalism, religions, worry and so on.
Romans 13:12 - 14
The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in licentiousness and lewdness, not in strife and envy.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
* Focus on Jesus
Hebrews 12:2
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
* Put on your air bag
Ephesians 6:13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. [STAND!!! afloat]
2Corinthians 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
* Make sure your airbag really has air in it: be filled!!! with the right content . . . "the Spirit"
Ephesians 5:18
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,
* Know when to stay in the boat
Hebrews 10:25
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaches
If Jesus didn't send you, please don't go.
No matter how much you have fallen, don't run away from God instead run to Him for mercy. Stay with your local assembly.
STAY IN THE BOAT!
I see you staying afloat as we complete this year.
You will not sink but stay above, in this world.
You will finish this journey and be welcomed home by Jesus the Christ.
PRAYER:
Loving Father, I will not sink, I will stay afloat by the power of your Holy Spirit. I will be steady that I will be strong enough to keep many afloat. Help me Good Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
