MARY'S CHOICE

Luke 10:42

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

What a privilege we have to sit with Him who was meant to minister to multitudes. This was what Mary chose.

Jesus spoke so much on the mount.  We thus have the "sermon on the mount" Mathew 5, 6 & 7.
Teachings that up till today have not been fully dissected. I remember when I read the book focused on the beatitudes from Matthew 5. The author had yet to scratch the surface of this great teaching.

Mary sat at His feet and listened while Martha ran around making preparations.

We do not know what we have in having a direct link with the Messiah.
Just as Mary could sit at His feet and learn God's will and fulfil purpose.

We also have this great privilege to eat from the master's pot.

John 14:26
But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Was it that Mary was not helpful in the house chores and other preparations before Christ came? No!

Now that Christ had arrived she had to leave every other thing to concentrate on Him. Selah

This is where most of us miss it. We have been carried away by the instrument used by God, the activities that we engage in that makes it look as if we are part of the event or maybe just to make ourselves look busy. No, you will miss the main diet if you are busy when the master is ministering.

Therefore all leaders in ministry should understand this that it will not always be a jamboree but that all will sit at the Master's feet just as Mary did. May God grant us the wisdom.

More importantly is our personal time with the Lord. Are we so busy with the world activities that we have not separated time to be with our Lord? Come off it, remember that it is in Him we live and move and have our being. No excuses, we must set time apart to be with the Lord, to feed from Him, worship Him and be renewed by Him.

We must understand the Mary's choice so that we will not be too busy to enjoy the blessings of being with the Father.

As we approach the new year, let us correct this error and make the Mary's choice. It is not about any human or what anyone will say but our special relationship with the One who saved us and who owns us. We need Him everyday. Glory to His name forevermore.

O help us Good Lord.

PRAYER
Loving Father, let me always be in Your presence. No matter whatever it is that I have to take care of help me know that You are my help and my source. When it is time may I leave all and sit at Your feet to regain strength, wisdom and power daily. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
