WINDOW PERIOD

1Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

We have been taught that what happens isn't really the problem, what matters most times is the way we react to it. We do not allow it to break us.

We cannot totally escape temptations. People could get us angry, disappoint us or we may make a mistake.

The scripture says God would make a way of escape for us.

It is that window period, most times the very moment before we react to the situation, it is at this point we have the opportunity to decide how we react to the situation.

Should we be

* aggressive or friendly;

* loud or quiet;

* speak or be silent;

* angry or calm;

* vindictive or lenient

That little open window could determine the series of events that would follow and could either save us a lot of stress or pain or cause us shame.

James 3:5

Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!

Ephesians 4:26

"Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

That brief moment when you decide what to do or how to react could be the most important.

We must be alert at all times to listen and know when our spirit is instructed to make the right decision. A lot of trouble we could avoid.

Help us Good Lord.

PRAYER

Loving Father, guide us by Thy Spirit day after day, helping us to listen when You caution and direct us on what to do in that window period and always. I will please You Lord in all things. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.

Love
