WE TRUST IN THE LORD

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;


Truly these are times when it doesn't look in vogue to be godly.


Many merely talk about God but they do not live the Godly life.


Of course we know that talk is cheap (there are exceptions though).


For we have some of us who identify ourselves as Christians but our likeness to Christ remains a mirage, of this category the word of God says


2Timothy 2:19

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.


The proof of our trust in God is not merely when all seems to be well but the true test is when we face challenges, difficulties or seem not to have what we need.


Our trust is shown in our patience, ability to listen (knowledge), then making the right choice, then our ability to show love to others even when it seems we have not received what we desired.


2Peter 1:5-8

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.


If believers are not careful these last days, they will awake to discover that their trust is no longer in God, but in:


* money

* fame

* pastor/prophet

* influential people

* relations

* self

etc.


We really need to ascertain where our trust lies.


Psalm 37:5

Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.


Psalm 34:8

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!


May our desire for fast solutions not get the better of us. May we not chase after material things and leave the person of Christ.


We will trust in the Lord.


Help us Good Lord.


PRAYER 

Loving Father I trust in You, let nothing take Your place in my life. In You I live, move and have my being. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
