THE SPIRIT IN YOU
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
When we were saved, God anointed us with His Holy Spirit and empowered us. Christ came to show us how this works.
Acts 10:38
"how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
1John 2:27
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
The reason for the anointing is to serve, to do good. God directs us to make a good impact. We fulfill His purpose and we enjoy the privilege of sonship.
Remember:
Romans 8:14
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
Every believer receives the measure of the Spirit to be relevant to the body of Christ and to reach out to the world.
2Corinthians 5:20a
Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us:
In essence, we are anointed so that wherever we are it is right to say God is there!
Genesis 41:38
And Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?"
Romans 8:19
For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
If we reflect back into the days gone by this year, can we say we have worked in the Spirit, have we made the most of the Spirit?
Let us remember that our being born of God is unto all good works. If we are instructed and we keep on ignoring, it will get to the point we rarely get any instruction.
1Thessalonians 5:19
Do not quench the Spirit.
As we go about our activities this remaining part of the year, may we represent the Most High in word, in conduct and in deeds.
O help us Good Lord.
PRAYER
Loving Father, You have given me Your Spirit, fill me with Your Holy Spirit. May I obey You in all things that I may edify Your church and be used to save the world. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
