THE POWER OF CORPORATE WORSHIP
2 Chronicles 5:13
The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the Lord with these words:
“He is good!
His faithful love endures forever!”At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord.
One great thing is coming together in one accord to worship God. Where every heart is focused on one purpose and one goal to enter the Lord presence, there is nothing like it
Remember that even God said:
Genesis 11:6
“Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!
Jesus also said:
Matthew 18:20
For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”
So we do not take local assembling for granted. We do not take family gatherings for granted, so also in our community, and if God shows mercy, in our region, state and even country.
When we come together in the name of the Lord nothing can stop us!
2 Chronicles 7:14
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
But some will rightfully ask: we have great gatherings both online and in large auditoriums, gigantic buildings yet the country seems to get worse? The people are still suffering and sin yet abounds!
True!
Check the purpose of the gatherings. Are they seeking God or are they seeking to receive from God? Are they seeking spiritual growth and communion with God or are they just asking for things? Does the nature of God display in their daily lives or are the just spiritual for the moment?
Does sin yet abound in their hearts?
Ephesians 5:2-6
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.
Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.
You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.
The heart of those who gather matters for man looks at all your emotional display and gymnastics but God looks at the heart.
1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Isaiah 59:1-2
Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.
It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.
Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.
Christ has taken care of our sin yet some of us want to still hold on to it.
If we truly want to worship then let's come together to worship. We must throw off all the evil baggage we still carry and come with a pure heart to the Lord then His glory will fill us again and His presence will remain with us.
Enough of all the garbage that is being heaped out there. Let us come back to God and minister His Christ, His revelation of Himself to the world.
Begin with your family, let us come back to God.
Help us Good Lord.
PRAYER
Loving Father we come as a family to worship You. Give us a clean heart and a pure heart that Your presence will fill us continually. We have victory in Christ Jesus. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love
@the watcher.
