LIKE YOUR FATHER

John 20:17 b

Jesus said to her, . . . but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.' "


Children emulate the doings and workings of their father. When you see the working of a young one, you ought to be able to say, "this person acts like the child of. . . "


Acts 4:13

The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.


Jesus said


John 5:19

Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.


Matthew 5:45

"that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.


Galatians 4:6

And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"


If we are God's children our actions and lifestyle must show of whom we are, we can not say we are of God and our works depict someone else.


How do we stay in the nature of our Father?


* spend time in the Spirit, your Father is Spirit therefore worship Him in the Spirit.


* spend time in the Word, He has spoken through the prophets, He spoke through His Son, and now He speaks through His Spirit.


* work consciously in the knowledge of who you are in Jesus the Christ


* exhibit the fruits of the Spirit


Matthew 7:20

"Therefore by their fruits you will know them.


Galatians 5:22-23

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!


Have no business with sin:


Galatians 5:24-25

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.


People who meet us should feel they have come in contact with the Father, since He lives in us in the person of the Holy Spirit.


This is the true life of the believer. Nothing less!


Are you being fed right, when you gather are these what works out on you, are you edified that you be like Your Heavenly Father and do His works? If Not, you may be in the wrong place or you have not been faithful. 


Listen, no one will be judged by congregation, church membership, parents denomination or religion etc.


2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.


There is so much noise out there even in the church, do you have time to stay quiet with the Lord? Or are you also swallowed up in the noise?


May our actions and works express the presence of God.


You have help us Good Lord!


PRAYER

Loving Father, I am Yours Lord let me reflect You in all I think, say or do. Let me live the true Spirit life You have given me, representing You well. O help me Good Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us? MY YEAR OF FULFILMENT

Psalms 57:2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. We just finished the book of 1Samuel, in this book we see the cry of Israel for a king and how God raised Saul to rule them. We also saw how Saul disobeyed God and lost kingship for himself and his generation. He did not stop there, he went on to seek for the death of David, whom he saw as the next heir of the throne. In chapter 31, the last chapter, we see how Saul and all his sons and men were killed, it was tragic, however it was as a sign of relief for David. We could go on counting all the struggles and difficulties we faced in the past year. No, we should not, we should begin to look at all the positives, remembering all the good things God has done for us. If He promised it, He will do it and that is what we hold onto as we go through this year.
